La Table de Chaintré is a charming restaurant located in the picturesque Mâconnais wine region. Run by husband and wife team Sébastien and Floriane Grospellier, chef and front of house respectively, the restaurant offers an exquisite tasting menu full of local flavours, creative dishes and well-paired ingredients. The fixed menu consists of seven courses, with two main courses to choose from, and is priced at €60. The wine list is extensive, with many fairly priced local wines, and the service is friendly and attentive. The food is of a very high quality and is presented beautifully on the plate. The appetizers are tasty and the main courses are cooked to perfection. The selection of cheeses is excellent, and the desserts are delicious. The restaurant also offers take-away meals for special occasions, such as Mother's Day, which are of a very high standard. The atmosphere in the restaurant is welcoming and intimate, and it's not too noisy even when it's full. The restaurant is well deserving of its Michelin star and should be experienced by anyone visiting the area. Highly recommended!
