Had a end table would not let us have a high chair said blocked the path, they never walked by it , service was terrible, use to get big strips of bacon, got a dozen for my party, they were little strips, I paid cash left a decent tip should have not, then as we were leaving they tried to stop us saying we had to pay first, we walked back to the table gave them the cash and tip, should of just paid and not given them the tip!!! Very cool diner style place with an extensive menu and great service! My companions had a fantastic bison burger and bison melt, and French onion soup. My blt was great and loaded with bacon! My wife and i went in to have breakfast today. The food was fabulous as always. Service was beyond what i could ever say. Colleen was our waitress. What a Rockstar. As we was sitting there a homeless man came in and sat behind us. I could hear him counting his change and trying to figure out what he could get to eat. We bought his breakfast. We will never let anyone be hungry. Colleen treated him as any other customer. Didn't judge, didn't act any different, didnt think twice about doing her job. Steve's is one of the greatest places in Helena to eat. Would and will always recommend as the best place to eat. Always enjoy eating here. There was about a 10 minute wait, but the food is worth it. Our server was very polite and knowledgeable, but forgot one of our items. The cashier was quick to remove the item from our bill. Wont stop us from returning or telling others about the wonderful food! Delish! Homemade apple sausage and the corn beef hash Benny were great, plus perfectly crispy hash browns. And attentive service, always checking in for a coffee top off. Highly recommend.
