Amazing service and staff. Food was really good too. This place has certainly improved lately. The menu and offerings have improved as well as the service and flavor of the food too. Not sure what happened, but something is making this place into a legit restaurant!! We will definitely be back after this last experience. They took forever to seat us. Then they wouldn’t give us a booth, but they let others sit there right after saying no to us. No waiter came to us, but people who came way after us got their drinks ordered. So we up and left because no one came to even check on us or take our order. No one would come near us. My wife and I had the Saturday prime rib dinner. Everything served to us was absolutely delicious, including the chicken noodle soup! The price is unbeatable! American road trip is now our go to for great food at a great price. Also their help is outstanding! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

The food is good and substantial. I had a tri-tip and you did not skim on the meat. Enough French fry. Service is welcoming. The locale and interior is comfortable like Black Angus. 02/18 2024 adding a new review.The visit went very well, the food was good and our server Maria was fantastic. Older review below. Their food is good, their burgers and sandwiches are very good, bbq tri-tip is very tender...their coffee needs to be stronger and they OVER SALT their food. Their servers are friendly and attentive and the ambiance is slightly above average. Their daily specials help, especially for families and everyone on a budget. So, not sure what changed since the current owner took over, because it WAS good, but the last couple times have been bad. Granted, our server was excellent. I Regretfully didn't catch her name today, but she was great. I'm writing because food quality has taken a hit, it seems. Both of my daughters got spaghetti. It looked like leftovers, and I'm almost sure it was reheated. My eldest daughter got parmesan and meatballs. She complained that the parmesan was hard, crusty clumps, and that the meatballs just didn't taste very good. She also had to ask for more marinara meat sauce cause they skimped, and it was certainly dry. She continued eating, only to find a piece of plastic in her food! Unfortunately she lost her appetite due to this. Really irritating and disturbing. How clean are the chef's workstations and the rest of the kitchen for this to happen? My plate had a single french fry on it, and I didn't order fries... I didn't bring this up at the restaurant because I want something to change at American Road Trip. We like(d) this place, and this wasn't the first disappointing meal we've had in the last few months. We love the ambiance, the servers are always great, but the chef's are lacking. After spending $100 with tip for 2 adults, 3 kids, I expect more. _____________ Previous review from a year ago: Excellent server in the bar side.
