i got the chicken pesto sandwich and i'm soooo bummed about how little i enjoyed it. every single piece of chicken in the sandwich was rubbery and extremely hard to bite into. i even tried to pick out certain pieces of chicken and rearrange the sandwich but it was seriously impossible to eat. also, the focaccia (which was delicious itself) was completely broken on the bottom piece of the bread so the sandwich was almost impossible to pick up as well. the customer service was great and the cafe itself is a total vibe but this sandwich was a nightmare to eat even though i feel it has so much potential. i will say the potatoes that come on the side are absolutely delicious. i'm super bummed about having to leave this review but i felt it necessary to share. also super bummed i spent almost $20 on a meal i didn't enjoy :( Service Take out Meal type Lunch Price per person $10–20 Food: 1 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4

Stopped by Breakaway Cafe on opening day with a friend for breakfast, and we had an amazing, delicious meal! The coffee is strong, and the dishes are classic but loaded with flavor. The staff was welcoming and knowledgeable, and they were quick to recommend favorites and answer questions. There is both indoor and outdoor dining, which is very appreciated.
