Really nice outdoor dining experience. The food was first class. The service was very good. The views were lovely. We got to watch the sailboats come back in before a storm. The outdoor heater was unfortunately out of service, and they appeared to only have one. Best fried green tomatoes I've ever had. We will certainly return for brunch and otherwise. I took my boyfriend here for his birthday and it was amazing. Food was great. Everything came out perfectly timed and it tasted fabulous. We started with oysters and coconut crispy shrimp. For entrees, he had the key west style grouper and I had the Mac Nut Mahi. The whole restaurant was as clean and pleasant. Menus were customized to say “happy birtnday”! The attention to detail was amazing. Our server, Allison, was great. Super sweet and very attentive. Had the hot lava cake for dessert but didn’t get a picture because we couldn’t wait to take a bite after we sang happy birthday! It was delicious! We will definitely be back! We've been here several times over the years. It's always consistent, and the food is good along with the service. Being a chain restaurant, though, that's also the problem it's too consistent. I haven't noticed a change to the food or the decor in a very long time. There's such a small number of fine dining restaurants in Melbourne that this place will always be a busy joint. I do not “frequent” the bar like the other people that I sat next to tonight (or before); but I’ve been here three times this year prior to tonight’s dining experience. My team worked hard today and I wanted to treat my Property Manager to a nice dinner and cocktail. The service was not timely. There was no consideration of cleanliness for our dining space. (Picture provided was after the second attempt to clear the area). I attempted to request assistance and attention to the counter; but the person forgot to come back (wait he did remember after we ate dinner and finalizing dessert). Firecracker shrimp was provided with no utensils. I felt Iike it was bother to place an order. I understand it is the holiday season, it was busy, and the environment was loud. However, Mr. Frequent next to me received his dry martini and shrimp appetizer before we were acknowledged for service. We were sitting there a good 15 mins before his arrival. The service improved as the bar cleared for the night. Service tip: allocate adequate staffing for the bar during peak times / seasons. I was serviced by both bartenders in my prior visits; and it was great! That’s why I returned with a guest. I did not call out any names in this review because it is not a people issue it is a systems and logistics issue.
