Would liked to have had more roast beef for the price I paid. Wish they would bring back the old menu with sandwiches and salads. Tired of the same old thing everytime. We were seated quickly and our waitress was right there with our drinks. The food came quicker than expected and it was excellent. I ordered takeout for my wife and she was disappointed to say the least. We love Cracker Barrel so I ordered her favorite country food restaurant. She described the dinner as the worst. The order was delivered and arrived dry and burnt. The country fried chicken was dry and appeared old. The baked potato was burned and inedible. Of the food that I like there, scrumptious!! I've never had anyone there give bad service. They are never intrusive, but seem always there when you need them; good trick when you get it right. I always try to get sat at the fireplace 🔥 regardless of season. It seriously adds to the ambience. On 1/24/24 my 2 friends & I ate here. We had a great waitress. Our problems concerned a couple who brought their dog in with them. The dog wasn't a service dog, it didn't wear any harness indicating as such. The dog was horrible. Crying, putting it's front paws onto to the table & disturbing all around it. We complained to our waitress. She in turn complained to the regional manager that was there. I got up from our table to complain directly to this manager as well. He came to the table but it didn't help. The couple took a plate off the table and proceeded to feed the dog food which made a huge mess on the floor. My 1 friend video taped the dog & took pictures too showing them to the 1 manager. Again I got up to complain and a 2nd manager came to our table saying due to laws there wasn't much they could do. My 2 friends & I couldn't enjoy or eat our meals. My friends nor I will Ever eat there again. The thought of animals eating off human plates or putting their paws on the table is repulsive! I felt bad for the poor waitress having to clean up the mess the dog made on the floor. If this is Cracker Barrel's policies now they've lost not only us 3 but our families & other friends as well because we've spread the word what we had witnessed. I think the very least either manager Should have done was comp our meals for what all we were put thru. Never again will we eat there!
