If you love empanadas, you'll rave about this place. They have a variety of both savory and sweet empanadas (more variety of savory though) and alfajores, a type of filled cookie most commonly found in Argentina and Peru.
They just opened their doors and people are already finding their way! Oh yeah, don't forget to ask for the chimichurri sauce (native to Argentina and also popular in Uruguay)
Seriously though, these empanadas are tasty, so watch out cause you'll probably get hooked!

Saw article in the paper about this place. WOW-Very good, seasoning on point/delicious/savory, with dessert & vegan options. People are extremely friendly here. Hidden on the side of the strip center located behind Wei Chow off Bandera Rd. We will be back. Give them a try 😉

Came to this little shop looking for dessert after having lunch next door (Wei Chow, fabulous Taiwanese/Asian food btw). This was newly opened yesterday (11/16/2023)! Damn, missed the opening and being the first one to review! Anyway, it is located near a residential area on Bandara Rd crossing Camino Bandera, in a small business plaza with plenty of shared outside parking.
Cosy and small store that captures your nose with the amazing smell. They have all kinds of sweet and savory (salty) empanadas to choose from. You will always be greeted by the friendly staff with a smile.
Tried the guayaba y queso empanada. Perfect sweet dessert after lunch; the surface is slightly crispy and after the first bite the amazing filling will overflow out requiring you catch them. All is worthwhile. Almost like an upgraded peanut butter jelly sandwich but even better.
Will definitely come to try out more of their different flavors. Keep up the good work Empanadas De Acá!

I had been waiting anxiously to try these empanadas. They are delicious! My favorite one is the chicken empanada. They did take a while to make them but after seeing them I can tell these empanas are unique. Just by the exterior of the empanada I can tell it’s a lengthy process to get them so perfect! And the flavor of the filling is absolutely yummy! I did not mind the waiting at all, but if you’re in a hurry maybe try calling them in? I’m sure that’s an option. I highly recommend this place. It’s super cute, it’s delicious and the service is wonderful! I saw at least two employees who were so kind and welcoming. They gave me updates on my order often and even helped me decide what to get since it was my first time. I will definitely be back! Sharing the menu for you all!

Empanada
Just when the world needed a hero, EDÁ came in and shone a bright light onto a city that was long overdue for an empanada spot. Truly authentic style and taste. The small and minimalistic aesthetic indubitably allows the wizards in the back to focus on the integrity within the unique flavors that latin american cuisine is notoriously famous for. Not to mention, there are plenty of vegetarian options and the vegan empanada doesn't feel like an afterthought, as most places do when offering vegan alternatives. Learning some of the staff is also vegan, it always helps me make a decision regarding restaurants who actually care about their plant based guests. Do not sleep on this place! There is something for everyone! Sweet, savory, vegan, meat, you name it! The savory ones come with this ridiculously good sauce that I want poured on my entire life. I had the Pasta Frola which is the cutest little guava pie as well. Apparently you can ask for it warm! Thank you so much for the wonderful experience, keep up the good job! 🥳💖

Went for lunch and picked up 2 empanadas,
One Humita and a beef, they are decent, meat texture was different and their humita absolutely different as well …
But what got me was the chimichurri, just oil as displayed in the photo, overall a decent experience, service was fast and easy.

Food - the empanadas were thin and not enough dough. The beef and potato filling was bland. spinach and cheese filling lacked cheese. Chicken filling tasted like canned chicken.
Service - slow. Not many options were readily available. The order takers got the order wrong. Missed a few items. I had to place another order. Took about 30 mins for food to be ready.

Stumbled upon this gem when we were grabbing juice. I don't leave reviews often, and when I do it's because the service/product was either awful or AMAAAZZIINNGGG (EDA was the best!!!). We will definitely be frequent patrons at EDAs now because of pretty much every factor you can think of. The food was seriously so delicious, and it was filling for the price. Every empanada we ordered was bursting with flavor, and they fill those empanadas to their max capacity. It tastes like your family made this with all their love ❤ the venue itself is cozy and small with outside seating. The owners were very kind and friendly! Thank you for the delicious food!

In the short time this eatery has been open we have been multiple times. It was absolutely delicious and the staff was wonderful. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone. They even took orders for us on days they were closed so we could come pick up and share their delicious empanadas during the holidays.
