My ribs, with grilled pineapple steaks, and jalapeño mac & cheese plate was so delicious. I sure will be back to try another meal. My husband got the brisket w/ bacon burger and that was also satisfying. Hostesses were very polite and served well. Atmosphere is warm and highly decorated. TV screens are on to watch. Went in for a birthday dinner but didn't tell them it was a birthday because we're not big fans of making a fuss but someone else had a birthday that had one of those big sparkles so that was good enough for us. We ordered the feast for 2 and a kids chicken strips and we had a good amount of food left over. We substituted the coleslaw out for pineapple but it was amazing! There was a half rack of ribs, 3 corn bread muffins, fries, pulled pork, brisket, yummy baked beans, half a rotisserie chicken, two corn cob sections, and the substituted pineapple. Thank goodness they had wet wipes there at the table and a whole roll of paper towels because we put them to good use! The feast for 2 will cost you around $50 but will feed a family of 4 with little to no issues. Service was fast and the food was delicious! Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $10–20

I have always been a big fan of famous Dave's, but unfortunately, each visit of late my experience gets worse every time. Sunday night visit with my family, and we might have been only customers in there, yet service time was horrible. I've been in during lunch hour and got my food twice as fast. The server was nice and friendly but unfortunately left again feeling disappointed in them. Been going for 20 years. Love Dave's. Sadly, bad experiences past 6 mos. Service usually fine. Like the atmosphere. But meat has not been good recently. Wife's Georgia chopped pork very salty. My half slab undercooked but has also been burnt to a crisp at times. We usually come around 4 or 415 so wondering if they just microwave something that's been sitting around. Went there on 2/21 for my birthday, and after going to this resturant for over 20 years I don't think we will be back. When ordering drinks we asked for a 2 kids menus and our waitress response was "um, no" it's for kids 10 and under. So this is obviously a management rule. 2 problems with that: If my 11 yr old daughter wants chicken tenders she now has to order of the pick me menu which starts at 18, when she only wants 2 chicken tenders that is excessive. My 15yr old son is autistic and has had food issues all his life, he eats exactly 3 things ate resturants: grilled cheese, kraft mac and cheese, pancakes. As a result he has ate off the kids menu his entire life because they usually have one of those options. Why are we gatekeeping a kids menu? It's cheaper because it comes with less food. After trying to find something on the menu as a substitute without luck I told the server we are going to leave, would she like us to pay for the drinks or no? Her response was I have to have you pay for the drinks. Which you don't you could have the manager remove them but whatever I guess. She brings the back and I use a $5 coupon which is met with an eye roll from the waitress. She then goes to run my card, talks to her manager 2 times, returns my card and we get a have a good night. The manager never stops by even though he is aware of the situation. 2 suggestions: revisit your kids menu policy, don't gatekeep something just to force people to spend more.money. and have managers who address situations when aware of them instead of hiding and avoiding the problem. Service was very slow. The manager/supervisor did visit us to apologize, so not a huge deal. Food was better than most BBQ joints and was served hot and fresh. I enjoyed the brisket and sausage link. Food was good. But I ordered to-go and no forks nor napkins were provided. I ordered a Combo of 3 and asked for a side of mashed potatoes and an extra side of baked potato. Got home and there was no mashed potatoes. Wasn’t given a receipt either. Don’t like sounding like a Karen but we do pay out of pocket for this! Hope it doesn’t happen again, I love this place! Good barbeque ample portions. The brisket was a little redder than would have liked. The wilbur beans as good as they always are. The georgia chopped pork flavorful and plentiful. Add a little dev spit to spice it up. Corn bread muffin was not dry but moist and delicious.
