Boi oh boi... the banh mi here is sure worth the hype. Do yourself a favor and get the #1 Grilled Pork with Garlic Spread. Flavor explosion. Probably my top favorite banh mi spot on the Bay now. The grilled pork is marinated and cooked to perfection. The grilled smokey/char flavor is so so good. The bread is super soft and doesn't hurt the roof of your mouth. I just can't get my mind off this sandwich!!! I've also tried their combination banh mi countless times before but it just doesn't hit the same as the grilled pork. Usually there's a pretty long line around noon time so prepare to wait. Visited here twice. The first time was on recommendation from friends when I said I wanted to buy some traditional Vietnamese festive cakes for Tet. They’re surely popular because both times of my visits, there’s always a long line. But, don’t worry, the lines actually moved fast. That just showed how fast the staff are. They had multiple products, from Vietnamese famous Banh Mi to VN traditional cakes and snacks. I tried a few of them and they were on point. Pretty authentic and delicious 🤤 On our second visit, we tried their popular Banh Mi. There were many types, but we went for the classic, Banh Mi Cha Lua. It brought back the taste of our home country. We’ve been away from VN for a long time and we really missed home. This brought back memories! We’ll come back next time to try their Cn iced coffee. This place definitely has a stand out baguette. Their bahn mi is excellent. Even the small ones are very generous in portion. The only downside is the service is quite slow. It was a weekday and it took about 20-25 mins wait for three sandwiches. Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 3

Excited for my second time here. But something’s off …. Hit or miss, even with the long lines. What I had: - Cold Cut Banh Mi (5 total) - Iced Coffee PRO: BANH MI: - HUGE Banh Mi IS a meal - Crispy French bread (most important component) - The best banh mi I've ever had and I lived near many "Little Saigons" - Big slices of premium meat - I have never had such thick sliced cold cut meat at any sandwich place, Vietnamese or otherwise - Wonderful pate - Terrific balance of acidity - Fresh cucumber and jalapeños - Cheap for the size at $9 ICED COFFEE: - Lovely deep roasted chicory taste, so very nice - Potent! Liquid TNT - I didn't sleep that night - LOL! CON: - Not consistent quality or taste - Always a lineup (but it does move) - Hours are limited - Must pay attention when your number is called - They run out of baguettes to take home FAST (total sadness) SUMMARY: Sad to say but … Hit or miss, 1st time blew my mind, 2nd time made me think I don’t want to eat hw First time I bought one to share but as we were eating it, we turned back to line up to buy 2 more to take back to eat later I may have to try some other sandwiches on the menu to make sure. But the 2nd sandwich is a lingering disappointment. You I do love the way they packed the sandwich. I know that's not a critique on the food but it shows that this is a serious place to eat made by people who take their craft seriously. Top if off with the best Vietnamese iced coffee I've tasted had since my very 1st one. Eye rolling liquid perfection. NOTE: I never take these type of sandwiches home to eat. The bread will always lose it's crispy texture because of the wet ingredients. Neither of us cared and we both got one to go each (no sharing this time). Glad to stop here for early breakfast on a business trips near San Jose. They have very yummy Bánh mì with excellent tastes of different flavors. Good deals on buy 4 and get 1 free. The line here is very very long...there was a line even when I arrived at 10;30 am. It moves quickly though. I came here on a recommendation and was highly impressed. I ordered the Pork Belly Sandwich and it was not a let down. The meat was moist, savory and they packed a good amount in the sandwich. I kept the other half to eat for later. They did not skimp on the ingredients. The bread was crispy on the outside and soft inside. The vegetables were also fresh. We Yelped places for banh mi and Yelp did not disappoint! Already a line outside the door at 11. This place is unique because they offer small and large size bánh mì. We got one small đặc biệt. It’s so cute! The size of my palm. The slices of meat were thick. Bread is made in house and the sauce was on point with creamy salt sweet flavor I have never seen this size in Southern CA. Fresh baguettes made in store each day. Wide selection of Banh Mi sandwiches, Ca Phe Sua Da (Vietnamese Iced Coffee), banh beo, and different take out side dishes. Duc Huong Gio Cha on Story has the best Banh Mi in San Jose, and most of my Viet friends feel the same way. There’s no dine-in option and parking can sometimes get dicey when it is lunch time.

Freshly baked bread for their bahn mi which is nice and soft and good flavor and portions for the filling. I tried the bbq pork and the combo and I normally prefer the combo but the bbq pork really blew me away. They also have other Vietnamese treats and snacks and you can also just buy their in-house bread. They have the buy 4 get 1 free promo and it’s definitely worth it.
