I've loved and bragged about their ribs but tonight I didn't think they were very good. They weren't that tender, didn't have much sauce, and had small pieces of bones that I had to pick out of the meat. I went there for the first time. The fried green tomatoes were fabulous! My steak dinner was not bad but I was disappointed in how thin the sirloin was. It was overdone because of that. Overdone and a bit dry so that was disappointing. The service was good and it was nice & warm on a very rainy day. I would go back for the tomatoes again & just eat those as my entree. The atmosphere seems very dated, almost a cracker barrell vibe. Some servers are professional and attentive, while others not so much. Lack of consistency on food quality. Depends who's cooking. Bar prices are extremely out of touch and overpriced. They consider basic brands top shelf. They do have true top shelf options, but they priced their bar drinks as if you're in an exclusive establishment. Ribs can be the best around some days. Steaks are inconsistent and very overpriced. The bar tender/our waitress called us and everybody HONEY. We are not her honey. We don’t know her. Very unprofessional and it ruined our meal. And no woman should call my husband honey. She is lucky I didn’t punch her after the fifth time she called him honey. How annoying. We were seated in the bar and the “manager” looked right us x3 and never came and got us drinks, acknowledged us, anything. Usually we enjoy it in there.
