Extremely expensive. Please replace with Food Lion. The locals cannot afford to shop here. It’s bad enough we have to deal with the Boones gerrymandering slumlorded practices, but now we can no longer afford to eat much less shop at the local grocery store where purchasing weekly food items has become a tantalizing dream beyond my budgetary reach.
Despite my best efforts to stick to a strict shopping list and a modest budget, I found myself flinching at the price tags was enough to send a pang of guilt coursing through me, reminding me of my financial limitations.
As I meandered through the aisles, I couldn't help but envy a select number of carefree shoppers (presumably Booners) who tossed items into their carts without a second thought. How I longed to experience the luxury of being able to afford simple ingredients, without the burden of financial worry. The ironic thing about these pretentious shoppers who frequent this place is that they act all high and mighty yet they do not even have an olive bar here. All these Karen’s hosting baby showers in East beach must resort to jarred olives. I double down in saying, GIVE US A DARN FOOD LION instead!
At the checkout counter, I braced myself for the inevitable shock of the total. Each beep of the scanner felt like a countdown to my impending financial reckoning, a stark reminder of my inability to afford the extravagant lifestyle that Harris Teeter customers enjoy. As I look into my own bags, these indulgences momentarily transport me from the confines of my budgetary limitations. The dread returns as I exit the store, light bags and my heart heavy with longing.
Still the great neighborhood market place.
Great selection of items to choose from and the staff is absolutely fantastic.
I really do enjoy going there.
Cherry t was my cashier and she was amazing, made me feel very welcomed and she was extremely nice. We also got a membership before we shopped and saved over $25. Id recommend this place anytime
Extremely overpriced for food that they are going to have to throw away because it’s wilting. Maybe if you were not charging $8 for a package of lettuce you wouldn’t have to throw so much away. Good luck explaining your greed to God.
