🔆I was welcomed immediately upon walking in! 🌺That doesn't happen at many of the large, extremely popular food chains, whether here in Idaho or any other of the many States I've visited in our belovéd country. 🇺🇸 Hermine is very very welcoming, warm, clear about what her confections and baked goods are - she makes everything in her shop! 🎂 I tried several things -Chocolate cake, Marzipan, Apple strudel with lots of extras. I loved the nuts in the chocolate cake. I loved the Marzipan that it wasn't too sweet or hard. It was smooth and delicious! The strudel was incredibly good! It had almonds and raisins and a little bit of Marzipan as a surprise in the middle. Delicious. 🕰Love her shop! I hope to buy myself one of the cuckoo clocks within the year. I can't wait to see her shop during Christmas!🎄

Cute little shop full of tasty German treats, Marzipan , chocolates and candies all looks delicious and Yes they are, We got some potatoes Marzipan for ourselves and gift for family, some chocolate for the road. Glad we checked this place for some yummy treats!

Great selection of German sweets and pastries. Hermine specializes in marzipan - if the only marzipan you've had is American, you're in for a treat! She also offers a wide selection of fancy cuckoo clocks.

Ten stars! Love love love this little mom-and-pop authentic German confectionery! Absolute treasure. A must-stop if you’ve never been here before. Hermine makes everything by hand, and there’s always something different! Gourmet of gourmet local bakery. Torte, Kuchen, strudel, Bienenstich, Cake, chocolates, tarts. Homemade marzipan is her speciality. Cute Idaho potato shaped treats! Cozy atmosphere with whimsical German decor. Located in a complex with the used book store, little parking lot. One cozy booth for seating if you want to sit and eat. Unmatched gifting items.

What a discovery! This is a gem of a place with the best marzipan I’ve tasted in many years - I used to have a German girlfriend and she has a fantastic bakery, so I know what I’m talking about. The lady who owns the place, and bakes everything, also makes a genuine gingerbread and amazing apple strudel.

My boyfriend and I just left this wonderful shop. Hermine was so sweet and personable, and makes AMAZING marzipan! One things for sure, we will be coming back as soon as we can!

Hermine is the sweetest German lady. When you walk into her store, it feels like you're being welcomed into your Grandmother's home (as my own grandma was Swiss-German) with all the adorable decorations, knickknacks, German culture and her caring presence. The treats there are delicious! I bought two marzipan cakes, a German cake and other candies. She gave my daughters samples of her marzipan in chocolate and chocolate fudge which was amazing. Her food is homemade with love and not processed ingredients. Hermine's Old World Confection is a new favorite spot for our family.
