It’s my fault I didn’t make reservations for a busy Saturday evening. Host on arrival said they weren’t taking any more reservations. Came an hour later and put my name on those list. Waited an hour but I must say it was well worth it. The standard and quality here is always top notch. I always know it’s going to be a hit. *chefs kiss* Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Came for my birthday and was pleasantly surprised by the atmosphere! It was clean, dim lights to set the mood, very intimate setting with friendly staff. The clam chowder was amazing! It's the best I've had and I don't usually order it often when zi go out because of bad experiences, but this one was good! The ribs were tender and just properly cooked. The coleslaw, the French fries- everything was delicious! I made reservations due to time of day, but you can walk in as well, it'll just take a bit longer to get seated. 📍Houston’s in Hackensack, NJ. The PRIME FRENCH DIP AU JUS Sandwich from @houstonsrestaurants is my favorite sandwich of 2023 and of all time. It comes with thinly sliced roasted prime rib, house-made toasted French roll. It comes with warm au jus and horseradish sauce-it just melts in your mouth 🤤. Yes, you can also get this at @hillstonerestaurants but the Houston’s at @theshopsatriverside just hits different. The loaded baked potato (available after 4 pm) and grilled heirloom artichokes are also a must. 🥩🥖Insta: @thehungrysw

We absolutely love this place. Feel like everything is made pretty much from scratch. The just $4 per glass freshly squeezed orange juice right at the bar when ordered is usually perfectly sweet and a good place to start. Spinach artichoke dip is a great starter along with the shrimp cocktail. The salads are on point and I don't usually eat ribs but they are fall off the bone delicious. An apple cobbler is definitely one you don't want to miss as well! Our servers have also been very kind and helpful. Highly recommend this place and that's tough to say for this price point usually. Houston’s has been a favorite for over 20 Years. The service is always on point and never disappoints. The atmosphere is just right to enjoy a perfect dinning experience, and what helps is the lighting that focuses on your table which makes it really special. The food is always delicious and the drinks are well poured. To bad I disinterested take more pictures. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

The first time I tried to dine at Houston there were 5 of us and we did not make a reservation. I felt misjudged but I couldn’t judged them without finding out. Came on their website tried to book for a party of 5 and realized it takes about 2-3 days to be able to book a party bigger than 4. So, what they tell you at the door regardless of the space is true, no parties bigger than 5 because they won’t sit you down. But listen! I did it the right way and made a reservation just for me and my 3 kids and when I tell you they are everything they say they are is because they are! The food was AMAZING! Our waiter Courtney was AMAZING! The ambiance was AMAZING! The low music on the background AMAZING! So don’t be discouraged if you are turned away at the door, just book a reservation, it’s worth it! One of my favorite restaurants. Service and food is excellent. The Hawaiian is a great entree. Steak was succulent and highly palatable. Key lime pie really played off the pie crust — deliciously crumbly and not too tart; the dollop of whipped cream was the perfect topping. Nice relaxing, lightly dimmed atmosphere where you can unplug and enjoy yourself. Houston, is very nice, food was delicious. No complaints at all. Must have money to spend. The bill can easily go higher then expected. 4 adults, drinks and food came out to be over $300. I like the fact you can pay from the receipt. Very easy and simple. You can even split the bill right from the phone. Again If you have the money to spend, do it. Houstons at the Riverside mall is always a pleasure when my GF and I attend for dinner. You'll have to make a reservation a week and a half in advance since it's always packed on the weekends but the atmosphere and food are always worth the planning. We actually go here for personal celebrations (career advancements, celebrating a new job, etc etc) and we've never been let down. Great atmosphere, good food, and service is nice.
