We travelled to New Caledonia and few days later we were craving for some Indian food. We found this restaurant and to our surprise we found OM 🕉️ symbol made with a sauce in all the platters coming out on the table including chicken, lamb and beef dishes. We complained and asked for the chef to come out as its a religious symbol for us hindus. The chef at first didnt come out as advised by the waiter that he hardly know any english. We asked to speak to the owner which was denied as well. Finally after numerous requests the chef came out and somehow communicated that he is also a hindu and he has expressed his discomfort in making OM on dish platters with his owner but the owner is forcing him to still continue with this practice. The owner is a French guy living in Australia. We strongly object this practise and disrespect of a Hindu Symbol which is so sacred to us. This practise should stop immediately! Très bon restaurant indien, on en ressort avec la peau du ventre bien tendu ! Les prix sont ceux de Nouméa 2500 - 2700F les plats, le nan est à 500 le nature. Dommage que les plats végétariens ne soient pas moins cher que ceux à la viande comme c'est souvent le cas dans les restaurants indiens. La salle est vraiment jolie avec deux espaces qui permettent d'accueillir pas mal de clients. Le service est rapide et agréable. Ils vendent également des épices. Une adresse à retenir !
