Chips were good, salsas were great! The cold salsa (on L in pic) was bright and refreshing, the warm salsa (on the R in pic) was more mellow, but so very good! Ordered the Guanajuato lunch special… beef enchilada was excellent, very well seasoned, the beef taco and cheese enchilada were very good. Very good margarita! Will definitely be back! We were looking for a Mexican restaurant on our way home and decided to give this one try. We were very happy 😊 we were there around 4pm on a Friday so not as busy. Everything was fresh, flavorful and the portions were good. Loved the beans, fish on the tacos was crispy ... all yummy. Absolutely will go again soon! Plenty of parking, great margaritas, and really stellar service. Our server was always attentive and tended to our needs quickly. I got the Birria Tacos and the chips n queso. Both were really great, would order again. Only reason I’m bumping down a star is because it seems a little overpriced for the type of food we’re getting. My food was good, but why was the service sooooooo slow today? Not sure if they were short handed, but dinner took so long. I walked in at 8:15 PM and didn’t finish my meal and pay the check until 9:30. When I walked in and was seated there was only one other family in the restaurant. We had a lunch date there and the wait staff was superb to us! But unfortunately the lunch meal I ordered wasn’t too well, the rice was a bit hard and the veggies in it were almost dry hard 😖 I later got a tummy ache 😣 but on other hard my husbands lunch was a hit for him so that’s good 😊 all n all it was okay but I would not call authentic Mexican cuisine. The food was good and the servers were very attentive. We had a party of ~20 people for my friend's graduation dinner. Everyone received exactly what they ordered. I had a frozen watermelon and Pineapple margarita. It was really good and you could surely taste alcohol. They also give you chips and salsa with two free red sauces and one green salsa.

Well I never thought I would one day find some of the best nachos I’ve ever had in Houston! Juanita’s Mexican Kitchen has some of the best salsa and chips….so I knew the food would not disappoint….and I was right. I just happened to find Juanita’s…but I am so glad I did. Next time you’re in the mood for some tasty Mexican/Tex-Mex….come on down Louretta Rd…and you’ll be glad you did. And the service was just a great introduction to the amazing food. This place has great food, excellent staff and The BEST Margaritas. They also treat you like you’re family. Wonderful place and I highly recommend it. Juanita’s is so awesome we made sure it wasn’t too far from the new house we bought. I highly recommend it.
