After a walk around Beethoven Home and Garden, many visitors stop by this bar. Try perfectly cooked pot roast, grilled prawns and lamb sausages. Grabbed lunch at the Liberty Bar in the King William Historic District. The eclectic bar has a unique history to include being a former Benedictine convent. Soup and sourdough bread hit the spot on a rainy day.

Liberty Bar was awesome. My friends and I stopped in here to burn some time, and we had a blast. The food was delicious. I ordered the burger medium cooked with all the toppings to include an egg. The sourdough bun whichbisbmade in house was great as well. The bread could have been thinner, but that is just my take on it. The fries were phenomenal. They were crispy and soft on the inside, and the seasoning was perfect. I definitely recommend the fries as a side. The service was great. Our bartender was very knowledgeable on the menu and also had the food before, so he was able to provide excellent insight into the taste of the food. The ambiance was very chill. There are random pics of art everywhere and mirrors along the wall. I really enjoyed the selection of music played. The song selection really complimented the vibe of the place. If you want to relax and chill with your friends and have some good food and drinks, I would definitely visit here. Great little place. I had the spicy shrimp and pasta. It was very dry, not sure if that's how it's supposed to be. The waitress offered to bring me more sauce and that helped a little but I still found myself squeezing lemon on it so the pasta wasn't so dry. This was such a great place for a yummy, atmospheric brunch in downtown San Antonio! My crew got the CHILAQUILES NORTEÑOS, OMELETTE, and ITALIAN COFFEE. The homemade sourdough bread and jam on the omelette plate was incredible! We were also mesmerized by every inch of the decor in the large, sunlight room we were sat in.
