Had the $5.99 Stew with 2 sides. The stew has maybe 4 pieces of meat and some carrot, very gluey gravy.🙁. My Sides that I picked incl. tomato and okra - same a few bits of okra and squash casserole… I think it was yellow zucchini with cheese (like a Mac & cheese). Came with buns or cornbread I didn’t eat the buns we requested. I didn’t know it was a budget restaurant when we went in. The food presentation was very basic. Steak med and 3 eggs over easy hash browns toast and a slice of tomato. I got 3 runny under cooked whites eggs a rare steak under cooked inside, burnt dry toast no jelly added butter available coffee. I ate this and the flavor was great regardless. Didn't get tomatoes. Recommend this place for breakfast but be specific about how you order and expect to receive. Just a heads up. Being that I have eaten worse because of flavor. Their food had great flavor based upon expectation on wanted if you had ordered it that way. Some people do. A large steak large eggs large scope of potato cubed. Did the trick. I wouldn't want you to expect them to cook it to your wellness standard just because you aren't specific. Coffee was reg no additives strong rich flavor. Go and visit. We arrived at 3:30pm. Prompt service. Delicious food. If we lived in this town we would come here all the time. Absolutely delicious flavoring and crust on the chicken strips. Excellent variety of sides. The cornbread tastes great, not floury or like a box mix. The Lizard's is an ole school standard. Lately it's been hit or miss, especially from location to location, but on this visit, I am here to sing their praises. I visited shortly after 3pm and I expected the food to be cold/leftover from lunch. Wrong! Everything was hot, well seasoned and delicious. My sister had the fried fish and it came straight out the oil and tasted as if I had picked it up from the neighborhood Friday fish fry. If you know, you know😋😊 Staff not on the same level as a popular chicken place whose colors are red and white, but you get good southern charm and attentive service Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
