While I enjoy this coffee shop, there are a few issues that keep me from giving them a 5 star.
1. For the quantity given, and quality of the product, I feel their beverages and pastries are quite overpriced.
2. As Chicago gets very cold in the winter, it is important to have a good heating system. However, every time I come here during the colder months, it is FREEZING on the inside. After asking the staff if they could raise the temperature, they do not do so.
3. Lastly, a suggestion, I think it would be very beneficial to your business, and a nice touch to the Evanston community if you stayed open a little later. It is nice to come after school/work and get coffee, but when you close at 5p it is very hard to do this. I strongly suggest keeping your coffee shop open longer.
Otherwise, a decent spot with pleasant baristas.

Beautiful coffee shop with a good number of tables to hunker down and get work done. Special shoutout to their pour overs! I’ve always been skeptical of coffee tasting notes but I tried the Ethiopian udeyi and I kid you not, it actually tastes like watermelon. Awesome experience!

I pay for a metra ticket here at least once a month because it is the best coffee in Illinois and totally worth the extra money to get to go. Also the banana bread is delicious. But cannot go wrong with any coffee

Newport Coffee House is a fantastic third-wave coffee shop serving excellent espresso-based coffee drinks.
The coffee is great and this place offers a great place to (1) catch up on your work, or (2) meet with colleagues and partners, or (3) sit, relax, and have your morning shot.
I ordered a flat white with their house blend. The espresso shots were well extracted and the milk prepared masterfully.
