Layback coffee cafe, right off of I-35. Good vibes at his cafe, the scenery, atmosphere, cleanliness, and choice of brew. Coffee to beer and sodas, the pastries are worth trying. This place is a gem! Great atmosphere, good music, and very spacious. The owners of the business are very friendly and very customer service oriented. I'm from Dallas, but I definitely plan to stop by again if I'm ever back in the Austin area. I highly recommend you check this place out. When I was there, I purchased a "Keep On Progress," which puts a cup of Bailey's to shame. I had a chance to try an Apricot Honey Whiskey as well, which was my favorite of all!! I'm definitely coming back for more! Very cool environment! The bartenders were both so personable, and it was a pleasure to have them pouring up my drinks. Very nice folks! Update, Jan 2024: I’d be annoyed about the removal of the bathroom hooks and the flimsiness of the new bike rack if TXDOT weren’t forcing Progress to relocate. Bathrooms look cool at the expense of accessibility. ___________________ [Mine’s more a 4.5] Nice staff, bike racks, and purse hooks in the bathroom(!) Progress nailed the coffee shop amenities and experience. I will say: I didn’t live here during the first iteration of their coffee shop. I also have never had any of Progress’ roasts. I preferred my espresso drink (espresso blend) to my drip (house blend.) It’s so nice to have another nearby coffee option.
