Food with love & knowledge Restaurant 1877 is located in the venerable meat bazaar – Kjøttbasaren - right in the city centre of Bergen.1877 was the year when the market opened, and with a décor inspired by its historic location, and a distinctive focus on cultural references in the use of food, cutlery, crockery and interior, we believe that we are managing our heritage well, and we hope to invoke nostalgic feelings for our guests. Furthermore, we focus on Norwegian food culture, and we are especially inspired by the Western agriculture.
