The Beachcomber is a plesent place for either friends to get together for a drink or families looking for a quick bite. When you walk in it is clearly a bar. It's bar is promenent. The table games and pull tables are also obvious. They have a full bar with many beers on tap. But when you order food you will be surprised. The food is hot and fresh with big flavors. We got a pretzel popper dish that was similar to a jalapeño popper without the jalepenos. These are addictive. Restrain yourself. Because the burgers are hot and full of flavor. Don't mind the ingredients falling out. Pick them up with the hot fries and eat it all together. The beachcomber is a stop for everyone wanting to visit and see where the locals hang out. We discovered this place years ago. By far the best clam chowder on the whole Oregon coast IMO! Yesterday I tried their special Seafood Chowder! Holy smokes it was delicious! Be sure to try their coconut prawns also! Simple bar atmosphere. Small and cozy. Very friendly waitress. Ordered their “signature” coconut shrimp. 5 shrimp with very thick batter and little coconut with a sweet jalapeño jelly. Also came with a Caesar salad. It didn’t wow me especially for $26! Great Long Island Ice tea. Good clam chowder. Food: 3 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

Stopped in for some football while on a coastal road trip and loved this place. No fuss, no muss décor and staff serving great beers and food. Their Seafood Chowder Special was AMAZING! Best chowder I had the whole trip and believe me, we tried them all! It was so jam packed with huge pieces of seafood that made every other chowder I tried during my travels taste like potato chowder. Price per person $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

This has become our go to place when stopping by Florence. They offer outdoor dining for fair days with a large indoor area that has a charming atmosphere. We had the clam chowder and French dip sub which were delicious beyond words. The chowder was fresh with the best clams I've had in probably a decade. The French dip was thick and smokey with some of the best roasted beef that complimented their house au jus divinely. The wait staff was friendly and attentive even when the pace started to get packed. We can't wait for our next visit to try more of their menu. They also have an amazing selection of craft drafts from all over the Pacific Northwest and beyond. Definitely stop by and have pint and a meal when visiting Old Town Florence, you won't be disappointed. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Stopped in here last night at the recommendation of a friend who lived in town. It was a great spot! Plenty of tvs and great atmosphere for the Ducks game (could have used a win though!) Great beer selection and quick friendly service. Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

We went today July 1st to Florence and the Beachcomber. We sat outside which on a day like to today you want to, it wasn’t windy and there were a lot of people. We were very lucky to get the table when we did. I don’t remember our servers name, but he was fantastic! He was swamped! It did take a bit of time to get our food, again he was swamped. My husband ordered the Jumbo Prawns and fries and I had the Club Sandwich and Tots. The food was hot and fresh and huge portions. Our meal plus 2 drinks a piece, me 2 beers, (they have a huge selection of beer)! my husband had 2 rum and cokes. The total bill was about 62.00 but you’ll pay that anywhere In Florence and some places won’t have as good a service or the fun! Great service, the exact bar atmosphere we were looking for. Very yummy food, I really enjoyed the Whiskey burger, the side of fries/tater-tots is excessive! (Which is not a problem for everyone so this is not a complaint!) several tables outside and multiple rooms inside. Pool table and several TVs.

Servers were decent. Place was clean... But $23 for one of their "signature" dishes that only had 5 shrimp... Yeah 🙄. Place may be good for beer but not so good with the food... Tried this place again on the later evening of 5/23.... This time I got the "Garbage collector" hamburger... Ironically the burger was truly sublime and the cook was exceptionally polite. But the bartender tonight was sooooo abrasive maybe she would be better at sanding cabinets versus dealing with the public in a comfortable atmosphere. And soooo it's still a ⭐⭐ place... Maybe some day they can find balance between the food and service 🤔

There is no neon sign out side of bar so maybe think just not that good however inside of bar looks good . They carrying many different brands of beers and it looks pretty cozy and casual pub . Have Guiness and all others brands from other places . Chips was good and there was active lady bartender serve for veterans. Have pool table and pretty many nice decorations stuffs on the wall .
