I made the mistake of going here after visiting the Mark Twain museum on 11/29/2023 in the afternoon. At first glance I thought this place was going to be pretty good. The shop is pretty quirky (in a good way) but, I found out I was unwelcome really quickly. I saw that Becky's Old Fashioned Ice Cream had a sundae on their menu which sounded good so I ordered that. The woman told me they were out of hot fudge for the season (here's an idea: take it off your menu if don't have it anymore). So I just got two scoops of store brand ice cream. This is not old fashioned ice cream at all. Becky's is not making it by hand and there is nothing special about in the slightest. Anyways, if it was just the ice cream I wouldn't be leaving this review. As the woman gave me the ice cream and I sat down at the in store table she did not say anything to me at all and just glared at me which made me very uncomfortable. I was the only person in the store and I could tell she didn't want me there. I honestly, felt discriminated against because of my large physical size and being a man. If you're in Hannibal, MO I would suggest going to another business in town to get dessert and spare yourself of Becky's Old Fashioned Ice Cream. Food: 1 Service: 1

Great place to relax & enjoy the ambiance of yesteryear. The selection of desserts is good, I especially like the new Pirates Bounty flavor. I plan to take my grandkids there to eat & peruse the selection of childrens' books.

Cute little storefront. They have ice cream and cones, but I didn't see any toppings. It was a bit lackluster for a "ice cream parlor." However the ice cream was tasty and the staff was very friendly. They have toys and books for sale. I would say a store with ice cream (not an ice cream parlor with merchandise) would bring a good way to explain the shop.
