We enjoyed our Valentines Day Meal at Bottega Pizzeria! It was our first time eating at this restaurant and we will definitely be back. The atmosphere was perfect for a romantic Valentines Day meal with a complimentary rose, live music and beautifully set table. Nick, the owner, came over to our table to greet us. Our waiter, Omar, is delightful and was very attentive to our needs. The pasta is made fresh and was delicious ! We had been looking for an authentic Italian Restaurant out here in Arizona and we finally found it at Bottega Pizzeria Ristorante! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

My husband and I have eaten at Bottega many times. We love the atmosphere and the service and have always been pleased with the food. That is until our last experience. We placed an order online for delivery. We ordered the chicken piccata and what we received was (5) thinly sliced chicken pieces horribly overcooked that maybe totaled the size of a half of a chicken breast with 3 stems of broccolini. And for this we paid $21 and it did not even include pasta...looking back at the menu we would have had to pay an additional $6 to add pasta. We also ordered the cannoli trio which was (3) miniature cannoli. They did taste good but were only filled on the very ends with a small amount of filling and cost $14. My Wife and I had an extremely nice visit for our first time here at the Bottega, The prices aren't to bad, they very fast and wonderful at keeping drinks and food coming. Don't be afraid to tell them if anything is wrong because they will go out of there way to change your drink or dish. We didn't have a reservation at the time, but they still sat us down in the nice outside patio or bar area that had propane heaters, nice atmosphere and wonderful chief that would come around and greet you. Very upscale restaurant, to me it makes the cheesecake factory look bad. I highly recommend trying this place! Thank you Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

The service was Good but not as good as it should have been. The drinks we ordered where never refilled and no one asked if they could refill them until we where ready to leave. One of the drinks we ordered was $19.00 for just the one drink and was so watered down it had very little flavor. The three items we ordered where acceptable but not anything like other Italian restaurant's in the area. The sauce was way to thick and the item we ordered was basically pasta and sauce. This item was supposed to be the best item on the menu. The dining room was so noisy loud we could not hold a conversation. The dining room is very small and people are seated very close so not only was it loud you are listening to the people's conversation next to you. The bathroom looks clean but smells terrible. Maybe they had bad plumbing problem or vent problem. I believe the people who like this resturant have not been to a good Italian restaurant. Going out to eat is about the food, of course, but it's not ALL about the food. It's also about the people--the people eating around you, the people eating with you, and the people serving the food you're eating. Bottega Pizzeria Ristorante had it all. Our server, April, was full of vibrant kindness and made us feel so cared for. The owner, Nick, stopped by our table to see how everything was going, and we had a great conversation with him. And, when I spilled my water TWICE, he transcended all expectations in attending to the problem (besides fixing my own clumsiness). One of his hilarious solutions was to give me a sippy cup. Giovanni, who was serving the table next to us, even stopped by a couple of times to see if we were doing okay, and we chatted briefly with him about Italy, his wife, and his new baby. Overall, we felt like we were being taken care of by warm humans who were deeply invested in ensuring that we had a wonderful experience. (To clarify, we initiated the conversations. They wouldn't have inserted themselves into our dinner if we hadn't invited the extended interactions. I know some people prefer to be left alone while they're dining out.) We sat on the patio, which was lovely. Oh, and the food was delicious! I had the pizza with Brie, and my friend had the gluten-free, lactose-free pizza.
