Our taxi driver recommended this place right next to the ferry as having authentic PR food. The food was tasty (Cuban sandwiches and fries) and it came out fast. My only critique is that the servers were not particularly friendly and wouldn't even look at us when we came in. I understand they are serving tourists all day, but you are in the hospitality business, which probably pays more than anything else on the island. Nice location near the ferry terminal. Drinks were decent. Very poor service from the young girl bartender. She had the worst attitude and tried to charge me for someone I didn’t order and when I asked for a receipt she gave me one that wasn’t itemized, told me she didn’t charge me for a drink she forgot to make. The 3rd best restaurant I went during my stay in PR. It’s a family rest so it felt like home. The young lady who attended me and my sister was extremely nice and pleasant. I had fried pork with fried plantains and they were amazing. Also their red beans taste amazing, just saying hahahaha. The bartender also doubled as our waiter. He was extremely courteous and gave a nice conversation. He learned where we were from and I learned where he was from and where he has traveled. This restaurant was a few hundred feet from the ferry. I very much appreciate being able to eat a nice meal and also served as a double purpose as a place we were able to wait and enjoy ourselves. Had the chuletas de puerco, she had the fish, and the breaded shrimp. We drank piña coladas and the rum punch. Really enjoyed everything. In Vieques, a lot of businesses deal in cash, Venmo, or ATH Movil app. Thank you for a wonderful meal and making our visit memorable.
