Seemed to have no flavor, I see the spices but nothing. Tastes like Crisco oil, just oily fat, no flavor. Sure, they have plenty of dipping sauces. I don't get how the flavor isn't on the meat? Google reviews did not steer us wrong. Popped in to try it out after seeing solid reviews. We ordered the ribs and bbq chicken salad. The hot bbq sauce was on point! Chicken was cooked perfectly & my husband was super happy with his ribs. We loved the guy working there, he was so helpful and a total rockstar guiding us Portlanders to his recommended dishes. Food: 5 Service: 4

The food is good. We had a large salad with chicken and when they say large they mean it. We also had the rib entree with fries and beans, the ribs just fell off the bone and the fries are very well seasoned, the beans were just okay. We also had a dog and the brought her a bowl of fresh water. Overall a great experience. We would definitely go back.

We have been going here for years as it is fantastic BBQ whether it be the pork, ribs or chicken. However we have never tried the Friday night Prime Rib. The grades of beef are usually choice and the briskets prime from what we have been told. The flavor and texture would attest to that being true. However the prime rib tonight was below choice and definitely not prime. It was what in the industry they call select or the lower end of choice. It was very tough and unfortunately very difficult to cut through it. Each bite was chewy and let's say less than satisfying. Great smoke flavor but that could not overshadow the disappointment of the quality. We noticed a couple next to us and they had ordered it also. We asked if they were enjoying the prime rib and unfortunately the comment was "we are taking it home to the dogs as it was too tough and chewy." We both ate 4 to 5 bites hoping for redemption and finding a tender bite but no such luck. We took 90% of it home and our pups too will enjoy a nice treat. The quality may be a price point issue but unfortunately we will not be giving Friday night prime rib night another try. There are too many other items we like on the menu and this will definitely not be a choice. Food: 1 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4
