We were visiting the Caverns and the Natural Bridge in Virginia this weekend. After a full morning of hiking we were looking for a place to eat lunch and We found ourselves at the Foot of the Mountain Cafe. To start we order the crab dip appetizer , it was delicious. Next we order the pimiento cheese chicken sandwich with fried green tomatoes and chipotle Mayo and it was a hit. We loved the diversity in the menu and definitely recommend you visit. Incredible little spot along I-81. We drove down to try them out for lunch and we’re not disappointed. The Pimento Cheese/Fried Green Tomatoes appetizer was excellent. I also had the Chicken Caesar wrap with sweet potato fries (best I’ve ever had).The homemade sauces were delicious. I rarely take left overs home but did not want to leave any behind. This was my first time eating here. The server was very polite and attentive. The steak was superb! The mountain views were very pretty nearby. There was also a small bar area and outdoor seating.
