The ambience is unique to Corvallis and it being a fun, upbeat college town and the staff's energy matches it perfectly. What a fun place to shop.

I want to balance this review a bit by first mentioning the months of friendly service. Tonight called for an easy exchange of goods. Each was found in the system during the return. A subtotal and division of store credit and direct debit return were mentioned. Suddenly the conversation became about a flag raised in the system about the date of my last return. The store employee demonstrates a policy over customer experience approach. I imagine this is how they are trained. Sensing this, I request a manager assist with the transaction. Gilberto arrives, and after I inquire what information might have precluded me from making the swap, I noticed his tone of voice change. I am refused service without a supporting document or event log pointing to a discrepancy. I expect gatekeeping of information in a customer focussed environment, and I want (wo)management equipped for any customer dissonance with transactional evidence such as a report of a more recent than recalled refund attempt. I'm leaving it at that for now. I hope Dean notices this and helps train a different conversational paradigm for customers to make use of besides, "this is policy that overcedes the posted policy within your field of vision, I won't explain it to you, and I will utilize my managerial authority to let you know that arguing now exempts you from normal store policy on returns. " Feel free to ask questions, I am shading it with my experience and I want to know if the information appears judgmental. I don't mind if it does, and the primary intention is to improve stressful situations like these.
Customer service employee with colored short hair multiple piercings clearly well over 300 pounds is very rude to men only as well as few other people that shouldn't work in customer service always at counter need removed from working with the customers produce goes bad within a day or 2 at most worthless fred meyers I've shopped at

Great store, only problem is that since it's so small they don't carry all the things I need. Most of my stuff I can get here though, and it's clean, and the employees are always polite and friendly.
Wow Been going here for years . Have always paid for my items while I buy cigarettes. It must be buying while brown . I had called for a manager. And was told I was yelling. So sorry if you all have never heard a man talk . I have a deep voice . Instead of making thing correct. After telling the manager. That the employee had told me they do not care if I shop there . Will be going to get in contact with corporate. See what they think about your way of treating a long customer.

This store is probably the most comprehensive grocery store in Corvallis. Do they have everything? No. Do they usually have what you need? Yes. I little short on staffing, just like everywhere else. The OSU students will have the store pretty cleaned out by Sunday evening. However, the overnight stockers will have it all back together in the morning.
Love my produce score! Even on sale!! Thank you for the great produce staff. I went to 4 stores (SWY being the WORST AND MOST $$). All I wanted was decent produce to dehydrate. You guys Rock!
Sensory Nightmeyer If you have ANY sort of condition that is aggravated by heat, excessive noise, uneven terrain, flashing lights- for your own health, do not go here. Shelves are close together and high, leaving next to no turning space for canes, walkers, or wheelchairs, not to mention it's claustrophobic and traps heat. The tiling is uneven, and has random dips and curves, making walking through here feel like a hike after a short while. And god, the utter noise pollution made me empathize with the Grinch; noise, noise, noise, NOISE... all machinery is run at high speeds so there is constant high pitched reeling, the music speakers are all at different volumes, the uneven floor makes all the (squeaky) carts clatter, it's packed so dense that your cart is bound to bash into something. Finally, the checkout has a green-tinted fire alarm (I'm guessing some sort of anti-theft beeper?) that is malfunctioning and screeches, while FLASHING, at random but frequent times. I cannot overstate how much of a cacophony of terrible sound this store is- and I was already NOISE-BLOCKING HEADPHONES. If you're any less than in tip-top shape and are in a good mood, you're going to feel like you've run a marathon in this Fred Meyer. The workers were perfectly nice, which hurts even more to see them in what I can only describe as a firework trapped in a dumpster of a workplace. If Fred Meyer was going to make shopping such a hellish experience for anyone who has any accessibility needs, they could have at least made things cheaper.
Just want to say thank you Amanda and crew again. I had two carts fulls of groceries and felt terrible going up to the cashier's. Amanda was amazing. Smiled and pleasant the entire time. Bag my groceries beautifully. Thank you also to the young man that helped me to my car. Love Fred Meyer.

Two days in a row I've had to stand in the pharmacy line for over an hour. It's not the pharmacist's fault they're short staffed. However it is the young & dumb store manager's fault that things are priced wrong & shelves aren't organized correctly. Yesterday I bought two packages of tp which I was charged 7.49 a piece for when on the shelf it said they were on sale for 5.00 a piece. They fixed that transaction & then charged me 13.00 for the mascara I bought today. In the picture you'll see it's marked as 8.00. The manager said he can't sell me it at that price because it's labelled wrong. When I told him he needs to go fix the shelf then he said he'll let someone know.....if you're the manager you're the one who needs to know & do something about it. If you want to give yourself a huge headache & be charged more than the prices state, then by all means go to the Fred Meyers on Kings. I however will NOT be shopping here ever again!!!
