Just left there today 2/19/2024. I called in because I did an online order and didn't want the fruit put on my pancakes. The lady that answered was very nice and helpful but the food leaves alot to be desired. My bacon was burnt and I asked for over easy eggs and got over cooked scrambled eggs. IHOP was a really nice suprise. My friend and I had to find a nice place pretty quickly before a movie as the restaurant we had planned to go to closed at 3:00pm. Granted it wasn’t rush time but the IHOP of yesteryear was darker and kind of sticky. This was none of that. The waitress was bright, crisp and so patient with us as we kept talking and not ordering. We both commented how wonderful the whole atmosphere and menu was. Waffles are my personal favorites. Way to go IHOP. This ain’t your Grandma’s joint! Very BAD!!! 1. the waitress had no name tag pretty much wanted me to be on one side when I wanted to be near a window. She put me near the window but then approximately 7 minutes went by I received no drink I had to get up and ask for it. 2. after ordering my country fried steak there was no gravy I had to ask about it. She informed me there was only two other kinds of gravies so instead of letting me know in the beginning I received an item less. 3. I then ask for a refill while I wait for my gravy. She walks away and takes a new customer's order writing it down on paper. 4. I express my disappointment in the waitress to the manager on site and when I told her ma'am it has been a minute and a half of me talking to you and she still has not come to my drink yet meaning that took about another 5 minutes. 5. I waited for another 3 to 4 minutes for my refill before deciding screw IHOP I'm going back to cracker barrel where they'll never do this. 6. While leaving out the door I tell them you have very bad business and there is my waitress checking people out at the counter for their pickups. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

Horrible! Went on Thanksgiving morning, place was almost empty with plenty of staff. The wait staff could not walk any slower. Took our order, it came out very quick. They did not listen to any directions. Don't even consider the biscuit and Gravy combo. It was watered down. Might have increased the rating if the staff would have checked on us. I had to flag down someone for butter. 3 people at hostess stand and one was eating? We paid and they had to go find change- we left. We've never tipped that low. We pride ourselves on over tipping and appreciate good service. Don't waste your time. Go thru a fast food restaurant for better service and food. I’ll give it one star because I have to but the service and food doesn’t even deserve that. Last night I wanted pancakes and decided to patronize IHOP on Torrence. I should have known better when I arrived and there was only one car in the lot. Against my better judgment I went in anyway. I was not greeted at the door and had to wait several minutes before the young lady came to the front. She went in and out if the kitchen a couple times so I am sure she knew we were there and needed to be seated. Finally she came to seat us. After a while she came to take my order. Didn’t bring water or anything! Eventually it was time to place orders. My order was very simple yet she kept laughing and saying she didn’t know how to put it in. I tried ordering two different things and she couldn’t figure either one of them out. Then to scramble my eggs soft she said she didn’t know how to edit that and would just tell the cook. She repeated the order twice and still got it wrong. The wait time from entering the restaurant to receiving food was about an hour. This is ridiculous for an IHOP. I eventually got my hot tea and the person with me some water. I never got water. The appetizer (if you can call it that) came with the food. It wasn’t the appetizer sampler. Some dry fries cheese sticks, no sauce. Then later a plate of onion rings came out. This sampler is supposed to have chicken strips. Nothing came out together everything was plate by plate with several large gaps of time in between. I ate a taste of eggs and hash brown. My food was inedible! I didn’t consume any of it. Those eggs taste like cotton. The pancakes when they eventually came were dry and cold. The person with me ordered the hot Nashville chicken and waffles and was given regular strips that were overdone, dry and had no sauce. We ordered the cinnamon bites. She asked several times did we want the ice cream to which the answer was yes. When they came out there was no ice cream. During the time I was there one couple came in to eat. They had several problems as well. The waitress was significantly more attentive to that table and did not give ours any attention. She slammed plates down and walked away. It took forever for the bill to be given. She stated she was not able to give any discount or take things off the bill even though I was served food that was not for animals. Finally she took my card and ran it. On the way back she again stopped at that other table with my card in hand. I asked if she could bring my card so I could leave as I was not comfortable with her standing around with my card in hand. She brought it and stood over me as I signed. I placed a zero and the tip area. She yelled at me that I didn’t have to do that. First of all you have paid us no attention all evening now you want to stand over me for a tip. She tried blaming everything on the cook but the service was trash as well. This was a horrible experience and I paid all that money NOT to eat.
