The store is clean and well stocked, but they need to hire more deli workers. Every time I come in, I pull a number, do all my shopping, and then wait 10-20 more minutes to get served. You can tell the deli workers they have are working hard, but they need to increase wages or benefits or something to get more workers to support the amount of shoppers they have.

Tall red straight hair employee. I was standing in between the pastries and French bread loaves islands there about 3 1/2 ft. apart she told me “excuse me” , I looked and she was talking to me as I was selecting a pastry, no more than 3 feet apart, Pastries and French bread islands. She said twice because the first time I didn’t think it was towards me. She said “your basket is in the way”,it’s a hand basket by the way I’m like looking around like you chose this tight spot where a customer is shopping to get to the back door quicker it’s literally four feet to go around I don’t why that bugs me but it did.

Terrible, got some items including a bag of lemon and bag of oranges 1.99 w virtual coupon I'm not to familiar with the app I din't see the oranges on the deal page asked the Hispanic man at Thee self check out he kept walking iwent to customer service to get the difference back standing there another women said she ask for help the man told her it was self check out , he doesn't need a job din't what to get involved so Jan 22 2024 11:50 am moni

I like this Jewel but I have had several bad experiences in self checkout. There is an older gentleman who is abrasive and unwilling to be helpful. Very gruff and approached me in an angry way when I had a store coupon. I will avoid the self checkout if he is working. And he works in self checkout a lot. There is an older woman who scolds you if you don't take your hand basket with you. Twice she scolded me. Today being the second time and I will continue to avoid the self checkout if she is working. Both would prefer to stand and watch you instead of greet and anticipate needs. How boring. After a $60 purchase where I scanned and bagged everything I shouldn't feel like the staff consider me a burden.

The whole rotisserie chicken was NOT ready when I arrived....many dissatisfied patrons. I expected better...I drove many hours for nothing. Terrible management.

I’ll never shop at this jewel again they allow cops to write tickets while I’m shopping in their store.. I don’t understand why u allow them to do that to your customers

This place has really gone down the tubes the produce is all rotten apples especially a lot of the other produce they sell past the expiration dates.. the meat and cheese sept is open till 8 and I was waiting for 5 minutes for 3 of the people on the other side of the counter to even talk to me when I was the only one there tonight to tell me they couldn’t serve me some cheese or lunch meat even though I knew they were supposed to be open till 8. Just the rudeness of not doing their job and the aweful selection of their expired produce and people who just don’t care and are blatantly rude to their customers is pretty disappointing.. guess I’ll just start going to another store cuz the quality of this place has really gone down over there past year or two

Freshness you can't consistently get anywhere else. I shop around nowadays, Pete's in oaklawn, Aldi, Walmart, but when I want fresh produce, bakery, etc I come here. I live more East and today I went to th Marshfield Jewel and got some slimy rancid bagged carrots. I guess they shuffle the carrots so you can't see the bad ones. When I got home, I opend them and some were blackening and slimy. So lazy whie we does stock there. I usually never go there but ill.never go there again..I called marionette Park and they exchanged them for me. Carrots were all fresh. I thanked them. This Jewel, is the only one to go to.

I like the remodel and the flow of the store. Out of the items we wanted but that’s life I suppose. I did notice that some of the products here were priced higher than the jewel by us in Lemont and in Palos. Overall the store was clean and the lines to checkout were long at 1pm when we went.
