This place is a gem! I’m from MD and stopped through on my travels. Shelly was a great server. Attentive but not over bearing. The prices are amazing for the large amount of portions you get and the food was delicious! I love the fresh squeezed orange juice. The atmosphere is homey considering how big the place is. If i could give more than 5 stars I would. We spent $30 on two people and had to bring home doggy bags. You def don’t see that anywhere anymore. My second visit ever here. Nice to see Sunday @ 5:30 isn't all that busy. Our server Ariel was friendly & helpful. My mom opted for the Country Skillet w a pancake side. She didn't know if it was the pancakes or the syrup but something wasn't good. The actual country skillet was good. I opted for the Roast Turkey Sunday Special w the Creamy chicken rice soup side. All of it wasn't good...it was deeelicious....& filling!! I ate the soup & only five or six bites of the meal. Looking forward to the next two ish meals the leftovers will provide!! I wish I could give this cozy place 5 stars. Unfortunately I can’t because the food is so inconsistent. They make the best country fried steak and the gravy is outstanding. But the potatoes are usually very dry. The pancakes and horrible. No joke. The orange juice is so yummy and fresh, but the machine is often broken. Of our last 5 visits, only one was all-around good. I ordered the sirloin for breakfast and it was awful. It looked and tasted steamed and a sickly gray. No flavor. Awful. However the staff is always very friendly and helpful. Had a roast beef sandwich that was pretty good. I had a little surprise that was O.K. Had mashed potatoes with the skins still in. The gravy and the meat were excellent. Young lady serving was a 10 out of 10. This is not a sexist comment. She was at the table enough to check on everything, but not so much as to be annoying! Would recommend trying this restaurant. Absolutely amazing selection of great food (too the point I had trouble picking what I wanted! LOL) that comes with huge portions all for literally the cheapest prices I've seen at a restaurant. 12/10 incredible restaurant! Ps. Fries are amazing! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
