It was nice sitting there in the open with my husband having lunch. The food is delicious the empanadas. Great, I didn't try the tamales, but I'll be back. We will be back. Out of towner here I got the carnitas platter and it was solid. The black beans were excellent as well. With tip, it was $115 for 4 people. Pretty pricey for a place that doesn't have waiters. It's pork, rice and beans. Not exactly expensive stuff, but the food was great for sure. I'm sure the lease for this location is a fortune, so that probably explains the price. It's the Bay Area. What do you expect? Generous portions too. Just enough to feel full without stuffing yourself. I would recommend and would definitely come back again when in Oakland. Beautiful downtown, BTW.
