Food is good of course. Eating off of tiny paper plates is interesting if you'd prefer to be conscious of your waste impact. Their waiting to be seated area deserves 1 out of 5 stars, honestly. To be so in the way of customers leaving, breathing down the backs of customers as they eat, and then being told by the staff to move from the little open space and stand in the way of people trying to get to their seats at the bar. I cannot recommend this place enough. Went here from a friend’s recommendation saying this was the best burger in Minnesota. After eating here, I do got to say it is definitely in competition for that spot. The location is as mid-western as you can get. A laid back, casual dining experience set in a wooden decor straight out of the 70s. The menu is extremely limited only offering a handful of different burgers and an option of fries. They are able to pull this off cause their base burger is exceptional. I tried the bacon burger, California burger, and the mushroom Swiss burger. All were extremely good, but I think the bacon was my favorite. Surprisingly, I cared for the California the least. I felt like the toppings actually pulled away from the incredible taste of the base burger. For a no-frills burger, I don’t think you can get much better than this. And everything is very fairly priced as well, making this a must stop for anyone in the area. Everything was perfect. Waitress Jenny was awesome! We must have arrived at the perfect time—5pm which was a short period of wait. My Single California Cheeseburger with fried onions was perfect. My French Fries were great and loved dipping them in the maywhite sauces. All in all a very nice experience. Love Minnesota!

Always a great burger! I've never had a bad one in the 15+ years I've been coming here. Got the bacon double cheeseburger, fries, and a soda. $18 Friendly and fast service. Less than 1 minute to be seated and what seemed less than 5 minutes for order to food (yes, you could tell it was freshly made). My only "complaint" is they changed french fries from crinkle cut to plain. They're still excellent french fries, just that I prefer crinkle cut fries, and they had the best ones in the Twin Cities. Delicious, family friendly and zero waste friendly with all serving containers compost friendly. I wonder if they in deed compost? Kids loved the reusable refillable Ketchum and mustard squeezable containers and use them to prepare artists yummy burgers 😁 I’d recommend to arrive early. We got there at 5 and had no line to wait. Nonetheless there was a line with more than 25 people waiting on our way out. Also lovely service!

Best burgers you'll ever get honestly. The burgers automatically come Medium I believe, very juicy and well seasoned. Fries were amazing back then but sometime in the past few years they changed the fries and they aren't nearly as good. If you're with a group I suggest getting a pitcher of root beer (it's amazing) Never been let down here love you guys Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

One of the best damn burgers I've ever had they only do one thing and they are incredible at that one thing. 10/10 will make the drive from Duluth to have a burger here. After one bite I didn't put the burger down till it was gone hence the picture of a half eaten burger ha. Really enjoyed coming here to the "Lions Tap". Great atmosphere great burgers. I had the double mushroom and swiss with sauteed onions. It was delicious. There was a few minutes I waited before getting a table. This place was full. Everyone here came for their burgers and fries. That is all they serve here. I highly recommend this burger joint. This is a fantastic old-school hamburger place that provides a wonderful taste of the local culture. The menu is limited, but people don't come here for variety, they come for absolutely killer burgers. Super friendly staff, cool ambience, and I love that it really reflects the area it is in. The building also has a cool history.
