Really awesome place, so much history and old car memorabilia. The place looked to have outdoor seating but was not available at the time. Really nice view of the river as well. The food was really great as well. They also have a bar area with additional seating. Not good tonight, no soup with dinner because there was no kitchen prep. Lettuce in salad was frozen. They offer all you can eat fries with dinner but they won’t bring you any when you ask. Didn’t even offer a discount for no soup with dinner and a salad that you couldn’t eat. Sucks because the clam chowder used to be awesome and the food and service was much better a long time ago. Food was good. Service was Awesome It was a little dark. It was our anniversary we enjoyed it very much.. The only thing that could have made it better is alcohol and desserts. $$$ thing. Sam was my server and was very nice. I had the 1/2 order of biscuits and gravy with hash-browns. It was definitely enough to fill up this guys stomach. The biscuits were hot and fresh and the gravy was spot on. The view of course of the Rogue River is a huge plus! I definitely recommend stopping here to get some great comfort food and take in the beautiful river views! Thank you for the great service Sam! Just had Thanksgiving dinner at Mac’s Diner. Met the new owner, Heather, and all the servers including Marie who took great care of us. What an absolutely fabulous meal with warm and friendly care and service. Heather informed us it’s been hectic getting operations straightened out, and finally running smoothly, but it looked well oiled to us! Nice job! Absolutely Loved This Place! Please check it out if you're passing through. The place is cool, with a fantastic view. The staff is all friendly and helpful. More than one server was watching over me. We love it here the wait staff is always so friendly and kind. The atmosphere is so homie and comfortable. I love that it’s hidden and tucked away. Like your stepping back in time into an old oasis. I love their pancakes. My son loved their French toast that was made with French bread and so it was oval he loved that. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Best breakfast I have had in all of Oregon. This place is amazing. Tucked way back by the river and draped in loads of nostalgic stuff from the 50s, this is the type of place my dad would eat at every day if he lived here. Loads of sandwiches that the kids enjoyed. Great corn beef hash that was def not from a can. Breakfast all day, can't go wrong. If you are in Shady Grove it's worth a stop. Spotted a ton of classic cars in the parking lot.
