When I arrived the cashier/barista was serving a mom and her son. That kid was talkative but the employee seemed happy to chat with him. A coffee and croissant is about $14 which is more than I would like to spend normally, but is comparable to Starbucks. The croissants are American sized (large) drinks come in 8/12/16 oz cups. It is located right next to the Atherton Library, so perfect for picking up a book and reading outside on a sunny day. For Halloween the town had lots of spooky decorations (some pumpkins were forgotten. Unfortunately, they were out of mini milk bone dog treats, so my pup didn't get her reward for walking here. An idyllic experience. Beautiful outdoor setting and great pastries and desserts. Our toddler likes the fruit pastry; I like the almond croissant and the cakes. We usually grab a couple of cappuccinos to go whenever we are breezing through. We see a lot of folks reading/working with a drink from mademoiselle Colette as well.
