What a little gem! I have heard about this place many times and I wish I would have tried it long ago. The food is on par with what I would get in Texas or California. I had the brisket chile relleno and it was fantastic! Rich flavorful sauce and tender brisket, great beans/fluffy rice. The rice was almost like a saffron style and I dug it. Great service and quaint little interior! I will definitely be back. We arrived right before the dinner rush crowd came in. Apps out in about 5 minutes, and our entrees about 10 minutes after that. The food was spectacular, as were the drinks. Rathdrum is off the beaten path for us, and we were very pleasantly surprised by such a fantastic little restaurant. Thank you for the wonderful service and food, we will be back! The food was absolutely delicious. Love when people use old buildings for restaurants. The ladies that helped us were very friendly and made sure we were enjoying our meal. This is the second time I've been here and it was just as good as I remembered. Homemade chips and salsa are always fresh and delicious. The best chimichanga. Smoked brisket, smothered...YUM!!! The staff was friendly and efficient even though they were super busy. The only negative is not enough seating. Life Rule #23 - If ever visiting Rathdrum for the state volleyball tournament a stop at Nadine’s Mexican Kitchen is a must. Now, to know me is to know that when I find my favorite meal at a restaurant, rarely will I deviate from it. For me, that meal is the pork pastor burrito with grilled pineapple. This burrito is huge! Make sure you bring your appetite. The perfectly seasoned pork is so delicious and then you get hot with a taste of the grilled pineapple. I get mine smothered with the red sauce and for me is the perfect meal. Don’t ever miss a chance to eat here. You will not be disappointed. The atmosphere was amazing and everyone was very kind and welcoming! Debbie was our server and she was amazing!! The food was to die for, I got the pork belly tacos and they were delicious. My brother got the fish burrito and he loved it as well. We shared the Mexican poutine fried for an appetizer and they were excellent as well. The chips and salsa are the freshest I’ve ever had! What an original restaurant! I had a hard time deciding what to order, everything sounded great. I ordered the smoked brisket chimichanga with the green sauce. The sauce was great but after I ordered thought the red sauce may have been a better combination. We shared a calamari jalapeno appetizer, it was a bit over cooked but still delicious. Our children's meals were huge. It's a very small restaurant, we got there at 5 on a Friday and had a 25 minute wait, we were happy that we got there when we did. I'm sure the wait was an hour for people by the time we left. Looking forward to coming back and trying other dishes. Good food, good service, just give yourself time to wait...the actual time from order to food on the table was 30 minutes +, but overall the food was very good and again our servers were friendly and helpful. I would definitely come back to see if the wait time on food is the same or shorter. Would recommend if you are looking for a tasty meal and good service. Good food and great service. Our server was very accommodating. Food was great but slightly over salty. Place is small and fills quickly and music a bit to loud to share a conversation. Fabulous new age style Mexican food! This restaurant was highly recommended to me and it totally lived up to the hype. It was a bit crowded and chilly as we were seated right by the door in the middle of December, but I have no complaints about the food! The interior was relaxed and cheerful and had fun holiday decorations. Our waitress was friendly and polite, and the food and huckleberry margarita were outstanding. I can’t wait to come back.
