We went here for my sister’s Birthday. This was my first time here and the food was superb. It is on the pricey side however worth the money. This place if definitely worth a good date night with your significant other! Overall, food and atmosphere were great! Tried this place on a work trip and it did not disappoint! Lots of menu options, dishes were flavorful and really unique items and service was great. I had the shrimp ceviche, it was more of a creamy ceviche and had an avocado mousse in it. Very good and a little spicy, probably enough for 2 people maybe 3. I also had the pollo saltado which was very different but good, the chicken was grilled and delicious, my only recommendation is for them to add some kind of sauce to it because the rice was a little bland. I got the tres leches dessert and it was delicious, more like a pound cake but tres leches style. Service was great and there is street parking if you get there early enough. I absolutely love this restaurant. It is my favorite place in Lakeland! The service is amazing! The food is always amazing! I love everything about it! First time trying scallops and they were good! My friends and I came here on Friday night. 2 have been here many times two of us (myself being one) were coming for the first time. We were celebrating our friend who is getting married in a few weeks. I had messaged them on Facebook to see about personalizing the menu like I saw on other posts. Chef Marco himself replied quickly. He also went on to give us recommendations of things to try! When we got there they gave us each a glass of complementary champagne. We all enjoyed a few apps we shared. Two of us had the Churrasco Steak and two had Ropa Veija all of us got a side 1961 salad. Then we each had dessert 3 Crème Brulé and 1 had the Chocolate Peanut Butter Tart. It was all amazing. They never once made us feel rushed. We enjoyed our time together and the food we had. So glad we chose Nineteen61 for our celebration for the bride to be!
