Been there for souvenirs and dinner during rocket campaign on ESRANGE. Great service, excellent and very good food with the special beer from Kent / Kiruna Bryggeri. Will come back :-) Thanks a lot for the nice evening!

honestly is more a shop than a museum. it's not bad but I believe it could have been better. especialy if more of the long informative panels were placed indoors. feeding the reindeers is not worth as they rush to the food in no time and then they leave, better watch them from the fence

The Sami museum is a nice stop of the Jukkasjärvi and the Ice Hotel tour. It is right next to the village church and only a short ride from the Ice Hotel. Inside, you can get close to the reindeer and have plenty of opportunities to feed them. They are very friendly and gentle. There are various exhibits to show the different aspects of Sami's life, a lot of them are about preserving food and keeping warmth. The museum is set in a beautiful area so be sure to wander around and enjoy the vast and open view beyond.

Reindeer feeding and the cafe are the highlights here. You can buy bags of lichen to feed the reindeer for 50 krona at the entrance, then proceed into one of their enclosures for a close encounter. The cafe serves local recipes which you won't get elsewhere in a sociable and cosy setting. It does get crowded though, so expect to squeeze into a long table with others. Otherwise the experience does feel overpriced. The exhibition material is limited to basic written explanations, and it is simply far too cold to stop and read it during winter.

The place to learn about the Sami culture and scrumptious reindeer food at their restaurant. A tad pricey for entrance to their outdoor museum though.

Nice museum to get to know everything about Sami people and of course feed the reindeer! There is also a gift shop and a cozy cafe.

Amazing place to get warm, grab a bite to eat, and explore Sámi culture. While the reindeer are amazing to see and pet, my favorite part was ordering them from the menu. My favorite meal in all of Sweden was their reindeer pasta. The head chef, Edwin, is amazing! He was so helpful in making recommendations for food and drinks and made us feel so welcome. Very nice guy and he will make sure you leave full and happy. We came here for lunch every day we were in Jukkasjärvi because it was so good, and we will definitely be back! Tack så mycket, Edwin!

It's a great place to learn about Sami culture with very informative signs and an excellent guide. You can also have the experience of feeding reindeer which is fun. Eating in their restaurant is also recommended. There is a blazing wood fire that adds to the atmosphere and is welcome warmth on a cold day. The food was excellent. The mushroom soup was particularly delicious and both the Arctic Char and the Moose meatballs were very good.

It was such a great experience, if you like meat and mushrooms the soup and reindeer main meals were absolutely perfect. The mushroom birch soup was probably the best soup we ever tried :P. The service was excellent and very friendly as well. The offered us some pasta for our kid which was not on the menu and were giving us some tips. Awesome, thank you.
