The best find in Zevenbergen. Excellent food, excellent service and atmosphere. The sign at the door is correct: I entered as a stranger, but at the end I am a friend. You feel right away at home. It begins with the setting once you’ve entered. You are welcome and the staff treats you like family. Not in a fake way, but they are sincere, kind and will do anything to make your stay the best. Then the food… my mother was never fond of gyros in general: always dry, underflavored of the use of way to much salty herbs. This is the one and only place where my mom does order the gyros. A perfect balance in juiciness, herbs and crunchiness. I really enjoy the gyros special (tip: ask for extra Greek spices to really get the spicy kick if you can handle that). Also the lambchops, kokiisto, stifado and biteki gemisto always give me a hard time to choose from. A big compliment to the chefs at Nieuw Olympia! Even when the place is packed and they’re understaffed (most of the time due to people without having made a reservation) the waitresses and owner stay friendly, work hard and doing their best to serve everybody AND with a smile! Compliments for that! I really don’t understand some of the negative reviews here. I really feel like you can discuss anything with the staff, even when you’re for some reason dissatisfied. Maybe the way some people talk to restaurant staff in general need to be addressed… The one complaint I have, is that I never have enough room to order a starter, main dish ánd dessert :) Other than that, I will most definitely see you guys next year! The chalk board outside reads: arrive here as a stranger & leave as family, exactly that! When we told the owner & his wife that we were there for our wedding anniversary, she returned to our table with rose petals :) Great food and atmosphere! The food was delicious. The same or better than anything I've had in Greece. I was given a nice shot of ouzo and the waitress even gave me one of her cigarettes even I said I didn't have any to have with my coffee and dessert. This is the place to go to!!! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

A well run restaurant on the busiest of days (Kings Day). A good menu and fantastic food with exemplary service. The Greek wine was also very palatable. We enjoyed it.

Excellent food 5 Star Fantastic food and service The tuna steak better than anywhere even the top mitchelin star restaurant we ate at . Friendly staff. English speaking. Lamb was moist susulant and delicious. Very reasonable prices, and helpful friendly staff who were very accommodating. Highly recommended
