I have been here several times and it’s my family’s fave place. The food is really good and the ambience is the best! It’s a place where we feel cozy and relax and of course the fine food is totally pampering! It’s not too expensive but it’s not the cheapest either , anyways I think it’s worth it for the experience of eating in such a soulful place! We have been wanting to try this restaurant for a while and I’m so glad that we finally did! We had oysters and beet salad for the appetizers and trout almandine for the entree. I made reservations for 7:15pm, we arrived at 7pm and was told by the hostess there were a few tables ahead of us, and we are welcome to sit at the bar. We sat and ordered a glass of wine. There were plenty of empty tables and the restaurant didn’t seem very busy. We watched several families get seated, after 45mins of waiting we checked in with the hostess and was told “ohh, someone claimed your reservation” WTH…. We were then seated. I requested they comp the glass of wine for this oversight, and it was. The appetizer was great. Salads were great. The oysters were definitely lacking. Gumbo is as good. Beautiful location with amazing food and fantastic service. Take the time to sit on the patio and just enjoy the experience. I failed to take good pictures because the food was so good. We started off with the chargrilled oysters that were plump and buttery and delicious. We ordered the special, a 16oz bone-in steak with crab on top and a blue cheese butter. It was fantastic. They also accommodated our request to make broiled Brussels sprouts which were the best I’ve ever had. Then afterwards as they were closing down, Jorge took the time to show us around the whole place and the expansion, and was very hospitable and excited about some of the updates. This is the definitely the place to be and is only getting better. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

This is a great restaurant located in a beautiful location (behind the train station in old downtown Slidell). There is both indoor and outdoor seating - choose the outdoor! The service was too-notch and the food was bursting with flavor. We definitely will be back this way!! Hands down the best meal of our trip to NOLA!! We went for brunch as they opened on a Friday and pretty much had the place to ourselves. We started with and amazing plate of oysters on the half shell and then we each had the fried boudin Benedict. Definitely the best Benedict I've ever had. The service was great and the place was just flat out beautiful...I HIGHLY recommend!!...
