Lake of the Saturday buffet The eggs were barely warm Potatoes were almost cold, yuck!!!! Sausage and beacon ok Gravey was warm enough, close call Order up Crepe Florentine with potatoes They got the potatoes off the buffet, cold Coffee good Very disappointed with the buffet Don't order anything that's on the buffet,chances are they will put that on your plate Been here several times over the year and they seem to be cutting corners when ever they can Will give it 1 more chance in the future to see if there is any improvement, otherwise will start looking elsewhere. Went for breakfast. It's a lot like a Perkins or Denny's. They do breakfast until 2 or 3pm. Our table ordered French toast, pancakes, hash browns, and sausage gravy and a biscuit. One person got a turkey club sandwich and requested crispy bacon, and they actually did it perfectly (and he ALWAYS complains about the bacon not being crispy enough at other places). Everything we ordered was great, hot, quick, and tasty except for the sausage gravy and biscuit. I think they're using canned gravy and it's pretty gross. Also was the only thing that was served less than hot. But other than that one tiny thing, everything was great. Waitress was super friendly and really attentive. Everyone is friendly here, even if you're out of towners. This is the kind of place where everyone seems to know each other in some way, but they didn't make us feel out of place at all. Used a $50 gift card, waitress was fine, bill was $40. Paid bill with gift card and wanted to leave remaining $10 on gift card for waitress tip but lady at cashiers wouldn’t let me use remaining amount on gift card for tip. This place was phenomenal! We've considered making the drive back, from STL, just for the cinnamon rolls. Next time we are in town, we will definitely stop in for the breakfast buffet. Everything was so good and the staff was so kind and friendly. It was a very unique place to go to from all the others. It had a very nice variety of food to choose from and drinks. The prices were higher than I was expecting as well, but after getting the food and drinks, it kind of showed itself why it is that way. The food seemed to have been made nicely when it came out and served to us as well. The chicken seemed to have been made fresh as well, and I would definitely recommend the chicken sandwich, which is what I got. The fries were also made nicely, which I would also have to recommend. The wait time for the food wasn't horrible, but if it is being made fresh, there would be a wait. The drinks were normal, nothing odd or different about them from any other place that I noticed. It is a great place to just go to after church or any place you're coming from. As long as you got some patience, though. There was a little bit of a wait, maybe two to five minutes, before we could actually be seated and settled down. It was really crowded at first, but it eventually got better and wasn't as bad. Cute, clean ambiance. Service is always attentive and thorough. My only critique is that the servers could be more friendly. But the food is so delicious and satisfying we don't mind. Generous portions, made-from-scratch breakfast and lunch options. I tried the catfish last time and it was heavenly! It's a must-visit for breakfast/lunch every time we visit Camdenton. I love these hometown diners where you hear the staff greeting people by name. This is one of those places. Clean dining areas, friendly staff and delicious food. Prices are reasonable as well. Enjoy this typical family diner. Breakfast is well prepared and generous. Good service. Don’t let full parking lot throw you, the place is huge. Want to go back for lunch. Pie looks amazing.
