First morning in Galveston at the Doubletree on Seawall. Did not want the $22 hotel buffet. Found this. Great place. Friendly. With a good selection of breakfast items and a bakery too! I had the special french toast and my wife the breakfast burrito (with out beans) good portions and some novel items. We enjoyed our lunch at Shykatz. My husband had The Reuben and I had the Turkey and Avocado Meltdown...both were delicious. Excellent service from everyone in the restaurant and interesting ambiance, too. Thank you! Service Dine in Meal type Lunch

First time here, and it's an amazing the service is good , the atmosphere is friendly, I ordered the Double Bubble medium well. The fries have slim to no salt, which is perfect. I hate a salty fries. I'm a tea drinker so I had unsweetened tea with lemonade in it. I also got a piece of the 3 layered strawberry cake which taste like there is cream cheese frosting , strawberry syrup and fresh strawberries OMG! I definitely will be coming back .. Shykatz is a super eclectic local eatery tucked away in a neighborhood. The atmosphere is almost overstimulating in that there are so many interesting things to look at that you don’t know where to start. The food and service was very good. The smuggler burrito was the star of the show, the best I’ve ever had. I’d been craving a good breakfast burrito forever and finally found one worthy of my approval! 🥳 They fry the whole thing, making everything inside a melty delicious mess! 😍 The Dara egg salad sandwich was delicious as well, crispy bacon and warm buttered toast contrasting the cold egg salad, simple perfection! I did finish them both. 🤤 The chicken strips and fries were very bland however 🫢 and the seating inside is extremely cramped and awkward 🤔 lol but the food was good and arrived quick! 😍 Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 3

This breakfast spot was super cute and laid back. Luckily we arrived between the breakfast and brunch crowds so our wait was minimal and food was served quickly. The food was delicious, no frills, and fresh. I ordered the breakfast sandwich and was pleasantly surprised they have the option for a croissant. They also offered pepper jack cheese. Both of which I typically don't find together. The breakfast potatoes weren't my preferred style, they were too thick but still delicious. I ordered the hot chocolate and it was made so beautifully!! Drinks and utensils are self serve. There are a lot of funny, cute signs to read too. Also they offer outdoor seating which is perfect for the fall weather we're currently having. The staff was Great Awesome friendly as soon as we walked up. The staff member loved our fur baby and gave her a treat and some water. When the food came, another member served and talked to us like old friends... great service great delicious food. Must go to.!!!!!! While searching for a breakfast place on the island, I came across a review for this place and the menu looked great so I thought I would try it. I decided on the Tomelette. I figured hey, it's an omelette right? No. It was actually the best damn omelette I have ever eaten. Perfectly cooked, stuffed with ham, mushrooms, and cheese and then covered in more cheese. It was delicious and served with a double side of perfectly cooked bacon and the best salsa I have ever eaten. Seriously I could have drank it out of the little cup.
