I have been going here since early 2000, and the food has remained consistent in quality, flavor, and service. Heads up, they do not take reservations or seat incomplete parties. I almost always get the 14 oz sirloin. It is consistently the same every single time, and I have never received a steak over or under cooked. Sides are okay to me, nothing special. The fried catfish is crispy thick pieces. If you're looking for a chicken dish, I really like the honey chicken breast. The rolls are sweet, and make sure to ask for extra butter. You get one roll per person that orders a meal. If you want more, you have to pay per roll. Sorry, no photos of the food... it's just so good I don't remember till the plate is empty. The portions are huge, but there isn't a lot of flavor in the food. It's definitely got a small town feel to it and a few old school ideas of service. It would be more convenient to pay at the table than have to wait in a line, in a very small lobby area, to pay. Great food. But our 1st waitress two weeks ago was always in a hurry. Talking very fast, not taking time to hear our order. That's it, you're fine, need anything, you're ok by walking fast. Had to call her several times on items we needed, like rolls, napkins, and water. It was frustrating. This weekend we went and got a different waitress which was 100% better than the other one. Plus, it was freezing in the restaurant on both visits. Everyone in the restaurant had their coats on, not comfortable even to take off their coats. They have the absolute best food!!! Their lunch specials are a fantastic price with huge portions. I personally love their chicken fried steak with yummy white cream gravy, loaded mashed potatoes, turnip greens, and a roll all for 9.99. Tastes like home cooking at its finest. Good American Countryside Food, it was Fresh. Lunch time is very busy and you will be waiting in line for a meal. Packed usually Everytime I go in different times of the day. Steak and two sides for 12$ at lunch time. Cooked to your preferred temperature. Waitress was attentive to our refills and needs. If you have a wheelchair you will have a hard time getting into the restaurant, due to lack of space. Very small seating area, close proximity to others. Bar, Diner kind of vibe. This is a great place located in Bryan! All the staff is friendly, food is delicious, and prices are good! It can get crowded during weekends but it's worth the wait, I always recommend this place to people visiting the area. Came here with my family, Definitely a comeback for us. Everything tasted ok, I liked their food size, which is enough for one person. Philly hoagie with the fried catfish was the best in pur table. I'll leave some pictures attached of everything: Cesar Salad, Fireman Ribeye, Philly Hamburguer, Catfish Nuggets, and the breads with butter. Also, a Blackberry Cobbler desert (Awesome by the way). When you walk in, you immediately get a whiff of the rolls. Additional rolls are 4 for $1.00. Everything looked delicious, but unfortunately the food was mediocre at best. The service was okay. Love this place. Great chicken fried steak. Home cooking always great. Had the fried green bean. Yummy! And we enjoyed The Texas Chicken, 2 Chicken Fried Steaks and a Smothered chicken 🐓 Nice family-friendly dining. We also like their fried pickles, pork chops and cobblers!

Really cool place to eat and good food also. They have the famous chicken fried bacon served with white cream gravy. It is a delicious appetizer. There steaks are really good and cooked to perfection. The waitress was on the ball and the place was packed. The staff is really nice and polite. The restrooms are clean. It was a wonderful experience. Had plenty of parking. Will definitely be back. For more reviews follow me!!!!!!
