We've eaten at Sortino's a few times before and we always enjoy it. Just went with a 7 other people for my birthday and it was such a a great night. Alay's service was just perfect! He was so kind and warm and attentive. My daughter is allergic to eggs and my sister is allergic to nuts and he was incredibly thorough when checking with the kitchen what they could have. I can tell if people check and if they just guess lol He definitely checked and made the kitchen double check as well without me having to really ask. My MIL just said when she made the reservation that my daughter had the allergy and he remembered and was prepared when we got there! He even offered to store and cut my birthday cake without us asking and when he brought it out he put a candle on my slice and lit it for me! I didn't bring and candles! He added it, and I thought that was incredibly thoughtful. He is something special, and he made my birthday dinner very special as well. Thank you Alay! We are local. We went there to celebrate my friend’s bday. It was not crowded but server was very busy. While we waiting at the seat for the server, we saw most of them celebrating the bday there and server brought a mini cupcake with a candle for them. I asked to the server to help us to celebrate the bday of my friend also. We are 4 of us and ordered over $200 of food. Price is little high but portion was huge so I can’t complain. After the meal we were full but didn’t want to skip dessert so ordered just one Panna cotta (server recommended) and 2 cannoli. panna cotta served first and we were sharing. Our server and crew came to us to help celebrate and put a candle on the half eaten panna cotta😳😳😳😳😳😳. Right after that, he served cannoli for us. Well…. I understand you guys are busy. But couldn’t you serve cannoli and put candle on new dessert instead half eaten dessert?!. Who would like to celebrate there birthday on half eaten dessert?…. Also, we paid 2 ways and each check showed tip of the full amount. (ex: Total $200 2way -> check $100 each-> tip 20% $40) This could be very confusing. We love to hanging out at Kalahari.
