Great spot in downtown Gulfport. This entire area gives me a bit of a Key West vibe. We sat outside and watch the good people of Gulfport walk their dogs. Full menu all day. This is my first time coming here. My experience was not that good. I ordered their special egg salad croissant sandwich. And a side of potato salad my friend ordered their food. Their food for them was good but mine wasn’t. My croissant was overcooked. They did not put enough egg salad onto my sandwich, and I can barely taste the egg salad due to the overwhelming overcooked taste of the croissant . The side of potato salad was portion very small and a small soufflé cup. The potato salad was good, but the portion size for the price of the meal was insufficient. We had not been to Gulfport in many years and were delighted to see how the little town has grown and is attracting tourists and residents. Seeking lunch we happened into Stella's and were quickly seated outside under a canopy. Our waiter was very good and very attentive. The special of Shrimp Po-Boy was very good - large tasy shrimp and homemade chips. My husband ordered the Ro Ro Reuben. Sadly the meat was thickly sliced and tough -so he changed it for the Shrimp Po Boy. It is a nice Florida outdoor setting. The story on the menu shares how Stell was named. She was the aunt of the owner - known as Aunt Stella and had a big influence on owner's life. Sadly, the explanation doesn't say who "me" is that had the Nun - Aunt Stella. This is a fun place! It has the perfect location, the funny nun motif, delicious food, and a friendly staff. I chose eggs benedict, and they came out precisely as they should with the yolk oozing out with the first bite. Thanks for a delicious meal, Stella's. Dog friendly patio and amazing vegan breakfast options. We had the Vegan Stack and the Vegan Breakfast Burrito with a Veggie Patty on the side. First off the Service was great... attentive and the food came quickly. The seating on the sidewalk was problematic as the sidewalk slopes a steep amount either pitching you forward into your food or forcing you to do a crunch to reach the table. Or if you said it the side you're leaning. So basically just not comfortable and we could have mitigated it by asking for a different table but we did not. The biggest problem was the food We did not order items marked as a specialty and that might have been the problem but the turkey Ruben was pretty bland and the meat looked like Oscar Mayer. The smashburger was flavorless as if the patty had nothing seasoned. The iced tea was like making love in a canoe. I did order the fried green tomatoes and they were great.
