Food and drinks were good. We had 9 people and they were very accommodating and friendly. We played the shuffle board a few rounds and had fun. I went to the jukebox they had on the wall to play some music, queued up $10 worth of songs only for the bartender and waitress to skip most of the songs half way through. I was pissed. If the bar wants to limit the music on that box, they can in the box but to skip customers who paid for the music songs while they were there because they didn’t like them? Disgrace. Pretty solid stop passing through up north. Embodies a proper Irish pub. Food: they’re known for their Ruben sandwiches/wraps. It was pretty good. Huge serving for $16. $3 to swap chips for fries - which are absolute crack. We also got the fried cauliflower for an app - def a recommendation. Now, id stay away from there wraps here. Partner wasn’t a fan - a bit vinegary and bland. Service: it all ended up working out. She wasn’t real focused and making her job a lot harder than it had to be. Nothing terrible though. Atmosphere: Such a cool spot. Plenty of dark hard wood throughout. Big bar. Large booths. Lots of late sunshine pokes in too. I am very hesitant to give what could be considered a poor review. Service was slow because too few servers. The people that were working were working hard, were pleasant and helpful. The time waiting for service was a great opportunity to have an actual conversation with my partner and nearby customers. Very nice. Nice little bar, but the service was absolutely horrible. Came in and was never greeted or even a hello. Was never told if we had to wait for a table or first come, first serve. Had to go in the back and asked the other bartender who said “just have to grab a table when it opens”. That we did. Then sat there for about 15 mins with dirty dishes on the table. I thought I’d help the process by bringing the plates up to the bar area. Was told to leave them on the table. Girl came over half cleaned the table off and walked away. Waited for food for so long we just took it to go. Will not be going back. Everyone there looks miserable to work there. Still left a tip and not even a thank you.
