I have been to this location multiple times over the past 35 years or so. I would often stop there before going to the Compton Blvd train station or on my way home after work. I really like their hamburgers and Chilli-Cheese fries (Loui's Burger Chilli-Cheese Fries are better, though), though I especially enjoy their grilled chicken or fried chicken dinners. Their breakfast meals are quick and affordable too! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

This Tam's Burger is in Compton. And food is always good and worth. Your money spent, but they can do better and make it sure that condiments that you ask for is in the bag customer service is excellent. I just visited Tam's 23 restaurant in the city of Compton. I must tell you that the food is nothing to scream about, let me go over some of the major concerns that I had at this restaurant. Let's start off with the food, I ordered a chicken dinner, the fries were undercooked and we're not seasoned,Let's start off with the food, the fries were undercut and we're not properly seasoned, I've never had onion rings that did not have flavor to them, but The Onion rings were also blind and they really didn't taste fresh, it tasted like they got a box of onion rings and the string on the grill and didn't cook it all the way through. The chicken was my biggest problem, I cannot stand chicken that is dry, that means my chicken was overcooked. I had to get up and ask the cashier if a drink came with the meal that I purchased because I needed to drink something after trying to consume a dry piece of chicken. I was informed that the meal that I ordered does not come with a drink yet I spent $20 on this particular meal. I'm not sure if the food has been properly cared for here also, maybe an inspection is warranted here. The final thing I need to identify is the initial person that was taking care of me, the cashier he was very polite, very kind, when I asked to use the restroom he provided me a key with no problem and inform me where the restroom was though I already had been there before. Yes did I say I had been there before, I was there a year ago and that food was off the hook meaning the food tasted great and did not require me to get up and ask the cashier for salt packets, pepper packets, and seasoned salt. Great burgers. Staff needs to learn not to talk personal during work hours. Mayra Castelán blabbed her mouth about sleeping with all guys that work kitchen. She talked bad about another girl called “la guera” a man called Manuel and to delivery guys. Hidden away behind the shopping center lies Tam's #23. This little hole-in-the-wall joint is turning out great food for breakfast, lunch and dinner. And they have been, for years. Offering friendly, courteous service, with a smile. And all at decent prices. So if you haven't been there in awhile...revisit Tam's #23. And if you've never been there...be good to yourself. Because this place is worth the visit. You'll be glad you did.
