I’m done. On a number of occasions, the latest being today, my experience was unacceptable. I am a patient, forgiving person, but today was my final visit here. A business breakfast - pretty simple: My over-easy eggs were lukewarm, my sausage patties were cool, my pancakes were hot, but after my friend noted that he didn’t get his eggs and that his hash browns were cool, he asked for his eggs. The server went away before I could ask for butter and syrup for my pancakes…by the time we got what we ordered the meal was not close to ok for either of us. This has happened twice before at this location. It wasn’t very busy…no excuses…I won’t return. Meal type Breakfast Price per person $10–20 Food: 3 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 4

I had a wonderful breakfast experience at the place. The pancakes were light, fluffy, and delicious, and the service was friendly and attentive. I have been going to The Original Pancake House for almost 20 years so have eaten there dozens of times. I have never had any food that I didn't like. Their pancakes taste homemade. I do wish they would bring back the sourdough pancakes as those were by far the best. Their 4 egg omelets are as big as a plate so I always have a take home box or sister, husband, or daughter split it with me. My favorite omelet is the veggie one because they use lots of veggies. Their hot chocolate is served with real whipped cream!! On the weekend, it is best to get there by 8:30 am or plan to wait at least an hour to get a table. I was very excited to try out this restaurant. I heard great things over the years. Made an online reservation for my family and I. We showed up a few minutes early for our reservation for the front desk man and lady to rudly tell me that it'll be a while longer wait. When I asked why, I had reservations. The lady rudly proceeded to tell me they didn't have any tables open right now. Having driven 45 minutes to try the food, we decided to wait. Our device went off they gave us, we went up to the front desk to let them know our device is ringing the lady looked me dead in my eyes and told me"oh your still here" and rolled her eyes! This is what I drove 45 minutes for? This is the service everyone is raving about? I'm not exactly sure what I'm trying to get at, but this was the worst experience I've ever had at an establishment with prices like this! Unacceptable! I'll never come back again! A must visit place if you happen to be in the area, the food is excellent and the servers are kind and professional! I count myself lucky that there was no wait as the place was busy! I recommend making a reservation because this place is always hoppin. We eat here almost every Sunday. We have never had bad service nor had to wait long for our food. I usually get Cranberry Wild Rice toast, a bowl of fruit, and bacon. Which are all pretty good. But since going GF, I have been getting the bacon omelet with a side of hollandaise sauce and GF Pancakes. The omelet is huge, and I end up having to take the rest of it home. The GF pancakes have a nice texture and taste to them. The coffee with creme is excellent. We never go home disappointed. This is a really great place to go for breakfast!! Most of the time breakfast places give off a “homey” feel or almost fast food vibes, but this place is very clean and modern! It was pleasant surprise walking in and the food made it even better! We got French toast and pancakes, a little spendy but you’re getting your moneys worth. The meals are on the sweeter side and the chocolate pancakes were almost too chocolatey, but all still very good tasting. The service was great and our waitress was very friendly and helpful. My only complaint for the whole place is that they charged me 5.75 for a glass of orange.. it was good orange juice but not that good, I understand it’s because it’s “fresh squeezed” but I wouldn’t get it again. Great service 👍 Great food 👍 Great place 👍 I'm a big fan of their omelettes and Swedish pancakes. Omelettes are especially good with a side of salsa. Had the crepes that come with strawberries, whipped cream and powdered sugar. The original! And we keep going back! Recommend a reservation, because it’s always busy on weekend mornings. This time, had the eggs Benedict with added peppers and onions, would do that again. I took my mom and, Service was good. Coffee was the best, it taste fresh. Love my crepes, everything was delicious and tasty. Else, wasn’t salty or greasy. Price was not bad. For sure I will be back again.
