I’m new to Chattanooga and asked a FB group on recommendations for birthday cakes for my only son’s first birthday…I was so nervous I’d screw it up. Thank God, Ashley commented and quickly provided details and pictures of her work. Her professionalism and ease in getting pricing made her an easy pick.
I talked to Ashley only to send a picture of what I wanted, color and flavor preferences, and a week before pick-up, I asked to add more cupcakes. She was quick to respond, always courteous and helpful. I know nothing about cakes and she made suggestions on popular flavors.
A few days before pick-up, she confirmed my order and the morning of pick-up, I had an emergency come up. My friend picked up the cake before I realized I hadn’t paid in advance. Ashley gracefully allowed me to pay via Venmo with no sense of rush.
The cake was better than I envisioned! I didn’t have high expectations, but not only was it beautifully designed, it tasted AMAZING! People were hooked on the cupcakes and asking to get the recipe. I was so glad we had a lot left over because the frosting and cake is just SO good. I’ve very rarely had birthday cakes that look AND taste so yummy.
Ashley, you should feel very proud! God has blessed you with great skills and that along with your professionalism will take you far. Looking forward to coming to Powdered Pearl for all my cake needs! God bless you and your business!
We cannot recommend The Powdered Pearl enough! I needed to find someone who did allergy friendly cupcakes because we had a few guests with allergies, and they were able to accommodate that as well as making a BEAUTIFUL smash cake and regular cupcakes! We did not know exactly what we wanted, we just told them it’s for our girl’s birthday party at the carousel and to basically surprise us. They did not disappoint 😍 they were delicious! The regular and the allergy friendly cupcakes!! AND they delivered which made this day so much easier! They will be our go-to for any future needs. Thank y’all so much!!!
The Powder Pearl is an impressive family owned business. As soon as you walk through the door you feel a sense of coziness! You can obviously see that the vendors and the lady that owns the Powder Pearl works very hard and care about their business!! The bakery part of this business is amazing. Not only does everything taste good but you can tell it is made from the heart.
I have walked in plenty of small businesses and have never been spoken to. As soon as I walked in the Powder Pearl I was greeted . I was able to actually talk with the owner. She was so helpful and you could obviously see that she and her vendors work very hard in this business. There is so much stuff in there at a great price. I will definitely be back and will tell everyone about the Powder Pearl!! To the KAREN that left a bad review.. you obviously didn’t walk into the same store I walked in! Karen, you need to find something better to do than sit around and knock hard working people down!!! Good job Powder Pearl!! I’ll be back!! Love the store!!
I will definitely be a regular at the Powder Pearl! There are so many different things to look at ,you could spend hours in here. The staff was so welcoming and helpful. The vendors do an amazing job and there is a great selection to choose from. The bakery was just the icing on the cake!! So so delicious! Over all I give this store a 10 out of 10. See you all soon!
