Just freaking WOW! It's Thursday night. I've had a long day and thought RED BARN! Pulled up the website at my work parking lot, put my order in, paid with my G-Pay and was off like a prom dress for some delicious dinner of scallops and chicken---the best of Surf and Turf! When I went in to collect my booty, I was jumped by both the New and Improved DOOR DASH employee AND the woman behind the counter telling me that I should not have ordered through door dash and should have just called the order in because she hates dealing with the websites. Firstly, I should not have to point out that if I was using the Door Dash, I WOULD NOT BE DRIVING TO PICK UP MY OWN BLASTED ORDER!! And secondly: if your people hate using the websites THEN DON'T ADVERTISE THAT WE CAN ORDER FROM IT!!! OR, OR, OR! HIRE PEOPLE WHO ARE WILLING TO LEARN! I know: shocking! A worker who does not want to work! Yeah, the food is great! Attitude at the service area is a serious nope! Especially when she was dead wrong and I don't know why her door dash boyfriend had to get involved. Whatever; I'll pay cash next time.... Or does she not know how to count?

Plenty of parking when we arrived at the location. We were greeted upon entering the building. The staff was very friendly and the service was fast as well. Lots to choose from on their menu. Everything was cooked fresh to order. Big size portions. My wife and I couldn't finish all what we ordered. Will definitely return if we ever travel back in the area.

My favorite waitress, Laura was able to help us with the menu and save money. The food is excellent. I ordered the haddock, Ed had the shrimp and Marie had the scallops. All the food was cooked to perfection 🥰. We went again 5 days later and had a pint of scallops, clams and fried mushrooms. We were there around 3:33 pm. Laura came and sat with us to visit and share some about the business. I highly recommend this place. It's family friendly and everyone loves the atmosphere and great food. 👍

Laura's Famous Seafood Stew
We had only one night in Maine this cross-country road trip, and lucked out that it was in Augusta where the Red Barn is! The lobster rolls were to-die-for! This family-run business has a wonderful commitment to the community as well. Strongly recommended!

I can't say enough about this place. Yes, I'm a "Person From Away," but we had to check this place out due to the high ratings, and I can fully say they are deserving. The food was awesome. We had the Lobster Roll and Fries Clam Strips. Everything tasted amazing, and the tarter sauce that we dipped the clam strips in had a great flavor. The service was awesome. Service with a smile! We ate inside, but the atmosphere was amazing, and outside, it was even better as people were getting ready to enjoy a night of music. I highly recommend this place if you are in Augusta. I can guarantee we'll be back before our vacation is over.

A delicious option for a quick lunch.
Carol on register was welcoming and friendly. Joe, who was taking care of cleaning the tables, was pleasant and ensured the table was clean before yoi sat down.
All fold was made to order. We had the fried clam strip with French fries, Laura's famous seafood stew, and hamburger with onion rings. It's all hot and delicious.
They offer indoor and outdoor seating. The tables outside have umbrellas.
They honor the military. Have a beautiful dedication board. Little army folk sit atop a shelf and a sign say take one for those you remember.

OMG! Best clam strips ever! We've had them all, and this place is our new favorite. First time visit, we ordered clam strips and haddock baskets. First lesson...we can share one basket next time. Plenty enough between the food and the fries. Dining area was very clean and well staffed. Plenty of parking...indoor and outdoor seating. Order came out quickly and was delicious. You have to ask for cocktail sauce if you want it, but its very good. We will be sure to plan on having lunch here next time we visit Augusta.

There is a lot of hype about this place but unfortunately I don't understand why. The staff was very friendly, perhaps a little too friendly, and food was prepared on time however I felt the food was somewhat bland and boring. I ordered the mixed seafood basket which consisted of fried shrimp, haddock, clams, scallops and crinkle-cut fries. Everything was heavily battered and tasted the same. I did enjoy the fries but for $28 I was expecting a little more. I will be stopping in again to try something different and hopefully will be satisfied next time.
I decided to come back and give the Red Barn another try. This time I ordered the chicken basket and was very pleased. The thick batter works much better with the chicken than the seafood in my opinion. Portions are huge and I love the crinkle cut fries and dinner roll that comes with the basket. I also ordered a small onion rings and asked for them to be cooked extra crispy. They were perfect and are my new favorite. Prices are reasonable and staff was friendly. I ordered early as to beat the crowds because I know they can get very busy at times.
