I've had poke bowls in 10+ different states and this is by far the worst one I've had. I ordered a salmon poke bowl and was given a tuna bowl, but didn't realize it till we were on the road already. It has the strangest flavors. The mango has red pepper on it, the crab salad I paid extra for has lemon juice in it, the spicy tuna I paid extra for was very spicy and mushy, and over all a lot of garlic/red pepper on everything. The macadamia nut was very stale and had a bad odor. I have to admit though, it has one of the best sushi rice I've ever had in poke bowls. Place is nice. Food is pretty good too. Usually I always get the same thing and they’re pretty fast. It’s a lowkey place that I kinda like not many know about because I find it to be a quiet place in there for myself but overall no complaints. I’ll be in here often and they’ve very nice. I dropped in here because it was right next to my hotel and my expectations weren’t very high because I thought it was a little chain place that would have mediocre food options. I was wrong. I walked in to someone keeping the dining area clean and was greeted by that associate with a friendly “welcome in” and was greeted at the counter with the same friendly welcome. The gentleman behind the counter asked if I needed help with the menu and answered questions I had patiently and thoroughly. The place was nice, the menu was fun and the food I received was fresh beautiful and delicious. I ordered the edamame and I built my own bowl and everything was wonderful. Saturday lunch, first time trying Tokyo Joe's. We ordered two Tai Noodle bowls and Crab Cheese Wonton Roll. The food was delicious, and the assortment of different tea at the tea bar was great also. Ordered the Thai Noodle Bowl, only thing I would want more is noodles, but not that there is too little. It just leaves you craving more. The food had a good crunch to it from the peanuts and veggies and it comes with both Shrimp and Chicken so the meal has a lot of value for the price.
